The Cloud Security Connector (CSC) is a device designed for effortless deployment of the Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) solution in any customer environment. CSC models are readily available for Virtual Platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, etc., and Public Clouds such as AWS, Azure, and Gcloud, ensuring a smooth setup process.
The CSC GRE (On Prem) for Virtual Platforms empowers you to connect securely to Zscaler ZIA at a blazing speed of up to 3 Gbps, ensuring high security and efficiency without any hassle.
The primary purpose of the CSC GRE family is simplicity: You don't need to re-architect your network. The CSC GRE is a direct replacement for your current Web Security Appliance. You can place the CSC GRE on the same network segment that your existing appliance and the CSC will redirect the traffic to Zscaler ZIA.
No configuration is required. Simply filling a form with your IP addressing, download the CSC (VM) and power it on.
The CSC GRE comes with all parameters to work with Zscaler ZIA. As soon you lunch the CSC at the location, the CSC will automatically connect to the best Zscaler ZIA nodes. The CSC GRE contains the perfect configuration for GRE tunnels, firewall rules and routing tables that are necessary.
You can run the CSC GRE on any virtual software: Vmware, Hyper-V, KVM, Etc, and a hardware version is also available on request.
All Zscaler ZIA functionalities are available. Internal IPs are completely visible on the Zscaler console GUI.
It includes Private Cloud Private Access (PriCPA) functionality, which allows you to create a full mesh among the CSCs communicating your private traffic on a Zero-Trust model.
It is simple to install and completely manage using DevOps change management tools like Amazon Systems Manager, Rundeck, Ansible etc., and SSH.

Enabled by the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange (ZTE), Zscaler Cloud Connector is a virtual machine (VM) that simplifies traffic forwarding to Zscaler services. It extends the capabilities of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) to cloud-native workloads, which allows enterprises to secure cloud workload communications over any network.
The ZTE enables workloads to communicate with each other and have a granular security policy applied. The communication may be from private workloads (i.e., IaaS, physical data center) to public workloads (i.e., SaaS/internet), or between private workloads (i.e., IaaS to IaaS, IaaS to physical data center).
ZPA Connectors provide the secure authenticated interface between a customer's servers and the Zscaler Private Access cloud.

The ZPA Private Service Edges are brokers that are a single-tenant instance that provide the functionality of a ZPA Public Service Edge in an organization's environment. Your organization hosts them either within your site or on a cloud service, but Zscaler manages them. On the other hand, ZPA Public Service Edges are deployed in Zscaler data centers around the world.
As with a ZPA Public Service Edge, a ZPA Private Service Edge manages the connections between Zscaler Client Connector and App Connectors. It registers with the ZPA Cloud. This allows a ZPA Private Service Edge to download the relevant policies and configurations so it can enforce all ZPA policies. It also caches path selection decisions.
ZPA Private Service Edges can be deployed in several forms. Zscaler distributes images for deployment in enterprise data centers and local private cloud environments such as VMware.
