Private Cloud Private Access (PriCPA) is a cloud-native solution for Encrypted WAN communications that covers the scenarios of site-to-site, site-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud, following the principles of Zero Trust. The Cloud Security Connector also includes the functionality of Outbound Firewall.
Private Cloud Private Access (PriCPA) is the leading cloud-native solution for Encrypted WAN communications, uniquely covering the scenarios of site-to-site, site-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud, all while adhering to the principles of Zero Trust. Unlike legacy security networking solutions, PriCPA is not a mere 'forklift' to the cloud. It overcomes the technical, operational and security limitations of Legacy solutions, which were primarily designed for communication between branches, central offices and data centres.
Cloud communications arrived with new challenges of networking, security and, mainly, operational agility. Applications are now distributed in multiple VNET/VPCs of different clouds, APIs must be accessed from numerous sites, and we still need to communicate with on-premises services. An agile method of any-to-any secure encrypted communications with zero trust is required, and PriCPA is the answer to this challenge. With PriCPA, businesses can enjoy secure, encrypted communications that ensure operational agility, without compromising on security.
The Cloud Security Connector also includes the functionality of Outbound Firewall (Advanced NAT Gateway).

Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the software running on your chosen AWS EC2 instance type. All 17 dimensions represent the same product deployed on different instance sizes. Your rate depends only on which instance you pick. Options span the t2, t3, t3a, m5, m5a, m5n, and m5zn families in sizes from small through xlarge. Larger instances offer more compute and memory to handle higher traffic loads. You scale by selecting a suitable instance size or deploying multiple connectors. Billing runs hourly, so cost tracks actual runtime rather than a fixed commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one instance of this connector do, and how much traffic can it handle?
Each connector runs as a hardened virtual device that encrypts private WAN traffic between your sites and clouds. One connector handles up to 1 Gbps of encrypted traffic. If you need more capacity, you deploy additional connectors, each billed separately by the hour.
Am I charged when the connector instance is stopped, for example a standby site?
The hourly software rate applies only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing software charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for the attached disk, but the software licence meters running time only.
Why do the hourly rates differ across the instance types, and how do I choose?
Your rate tracks the AWS EC2 instance size you select. Larger instances in the t3, t2, t3a, m5, m5a, m5n, and m5zn families provide more compute and memory for higher traffic. Choose a size that fits your throughput needs, then scale by adding connectors.

CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
Access the Cloud Security Connector configuration console via SSH to the first IP of the internal interface (eth1, labelled: csc-gre-single-internal-interface), using your SSH key and the user: "cscadmin". Example: ssh -i <yourkey.pem> cscadmin@<eth1 IP> . All Configuration and Monitoring tools are available via menu selection. Alternatively, if you deployed the CSC passing UserData values and registering the SSM Agent, you can check the status "Running Commands" from AWS Systems Manager.
AWS Support is a one-on-one, fast-response support channel that is staffed 24x7x365 with experienced and technical support engineers. The service helps customers of all sizes and technical abilities to successfully utilize the products and features provided by Amazon Web Services.
