Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for this pre-built Appsmith deployment, billed only while your instance runs. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each option maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, and the software charge stays the same across them all. Your hourly cost changes based on the instance you pick. Smaller instances like t2.nano or t3.medium suit light workloads. Larger instances like m5.24xlarge or high-memory and GPU types handle heavier processing. Choose the instance that fits your compute, memory, and storage needs. Separate AWS infrastructure charges apply on top of the software rate.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each option maps to one running AWS EC2 instance of that type, with the Appsmith software pre-installed. The instance name defines the CPU, memory, and storage you get. You pay the software rate per hour that instance runs, plus the separate AWS charge for that instance type.
The software fee meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Note that stored data on the instance may still trigger separate AWS storage fees while stopped, but the software license bills only active running hours.
Two charges add together on the same hourly basis. One is the fixed software rate, the same across every instance option. The other is the AWS infrastructure cost, which varies by instance type. Larger instances raise the AWS portion, so that charge typically drives most of your total.
