An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
The latest Koha AMI release, version 25.05.01, is now available on AWS Marketplace.
This release addresses critical bugs across multiple modules. Key fixes include: acquisitions basket ordering, circulation fine calculation regression, OPAC patron update errors, and background jobs page crashes. Accessibility improvements include WCAG 2.1 compliance for OPAC menus at 400% text size. Additional fixes cover ILL requests, cataloging, reports, and self-checkout functionality. Enhancements include Template Toolkit integration for recall notices and semantic page tags. Technical improvements focus on code quality and test suite cleanup. The CloudFormation launch template now includes key improvements:
