Try this product free for 30 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the Koha Cloud Basic Tier, billed through AWS Marketplace. Pricing is set per EC2 instance type, so each dimension is a virtual server size you can choose. Rates rise as you pick more powerful compute, memory, storage, or GPU instances. You run one instance at a time and can switch sizes as your needs change. This charge covers the KohaSupport software license only. AWS charges you separately for the underlying servers, storage, and networking your deployment uses. Both charges appear in your AWS billing console.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of a chosen instance type actually cover on my bill?
The hourly rate covers the KohaSupport software license for one running EC2 instance of that size. It does not cover the underlying server, storage, or networking. AWS bills those separately based on the instance you run. Both charges appear in your AWS billing console.
Am I charged the hourly software fee when my instance is stopped?
The software license meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly KohaSupport charge. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached disks. To pause charges completely, stop the instance rather than leaving it idle.
What happens to my cost if I switch to a more powerful instance type?
You run one instance at a time and choose its size. Switching to a larger compute, memory, storage, or GPU instance raises both the hourly software rate and the AWS infrastructure charge. The change takes effect when you launch the new instance size. There is no automatic tier upgrade.
