This product has charges associated with it for seller support. Elyxia Global Limited offers a pre-configured and hardened UVdesk Community helpdesk on AlmaLinux 10, installed and ready before you open it. No browser setup wizard, no shared application secret, and a database that is not reachable from the internet. Ticketing, email support, a customer knowledgebase and marketplace integrations are ready on first sign-in.
Elyxia Global Limited brings you a robust and performance-optimized UVdesk Community image on AlmaLinux 10. UVdesk is an open-source helpdesk built on Symfony, giving you agent ticketing, an email-driven support inbox, a public knowledgebase for your customers, and integrations with marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Flipkart, Magento, Prestashop and Shopify, so enquiries from several channels land in one queue.
This ready-to-deploy AMI gives you a working helpdesk in minutes rather than an afternoon spent assembling PHP, a web server, a database and a mail parser, and then walking a browser wizard through a setup that leaves several of its defaults in place.
The AlmaLinux 10 base is a secure, enterprise-grade Linux known for stability and long-term support.
Pre-bundled with this AMI:
UVdesk Community 1.1.8,
AlmaLinux 10,
MariaDB 11.4,
Apache HTTP Server,
PHP 8.2,
Mailparse extension for email ticketing,
Caddy reverse proxy,
Docker and Docker Compose
The application runs in containers. UVdesk and its database are managed by Docker Compose on the instance, so application updates can be delivered without replacing the AMI, and the database runs on an isolated internal network with no port exposed to the internet. Your ticket attachments and uploaded files are kept in separate storage that an update does not touch.
Your helpdesk is installed and ready when the instance finishes starting. There is no browser setup wizard to walk through. The database, the schema, the support roles and your administrator account are created for you, and the administrator password is shown once, at the end of installation.
The exact UVdesk version is fixed in the image and verified by checksum at build time, so every instance of a given build runs identical code.
UVdesk serves two addresses. The plain address is the public support centre your customers see, and your agents sign in at a separate address that the installation summary and the guide both give you in full.
Exclusive Fixes and Resolutions by Elyxia Global Limited:
Runs in Production Mode: the distributed application runs Symfony in development mode, which returns full stack traces and exposes the developer profiler to anyone who triggers an error. The line that would change it is present but commented out in the conventional install. This image serves every request in production mode.
A Unique Application Secret per Instance: the distribution ships a literal placeholder as the application secret, which signs session cookies and CSRF tokens, and neither the setup wizard nor the installer ever replaces it. This image generates a fresh secret for your instance.
Installed Before You Open It: the database, schema, support roles and your administrator account are created during installation using the application`s own supported console commands, so there is no setup wizard to complete and no step that can be left half-done.
Database Closed to the Internet: MariaDB runs on a private network inside the instance with no published port, where the conventional install listens on all interfaces with no host firewall. UVdesk is reachable only through the HTTPS proxy.
Your Domain Address Is Actually Written: the application ships with a placeholder site address that installation does not fix, which is why community threads describe editing the file by hand. Our domain tool writes the address and rebuilds the application cache, without which the edit has no effect.
Built Without the Redis Extension: the UVdesk project documents that the redis PHP extension breaks its own installer. This image is built without it, and the build fails if it is ever present.
Use your own domain name with a free SSL certificate. One command requests a Let`s Encrypt certificate, renews it automatically, and redirects HTTP to HTTPS. The instance needs only three inbound ports: 22, 80 and 443. This image does not include a local mail server, so UVdesk sends and collects support mail through a mail provider that you configure.
Please note: UVdesk Community 1.1.8 is the current release from the UVdesk project, published in September 2025. It is built on Symfony 5.4 and the application logs deprecation notices at startup from components its authors have not yet replaced. These are upstream`s to resolve and none of them affects function, but we would rather record it than let you discover it.

Highlights
Installed Before You Open It: no browser setup wizard to walk through. The database, schema, support roles and your administrator account are created during installation, and your password is shown once at the end. Sign in and answer your first ticket.
Six Fixes You Would Otherwise Make Yourself: production mode instead of the development mode the distribution ships, a unique application secret per instance rather than a published placeholder, a database closed to the internet, a domain address that is written and takes effect, the redis extension left out because it breaks the installer, and an installation that cannot report success on a failure.
Containerized and Maintainable: UVdesk and MariaDB run as Docker containers on AlmaLinux 10, so the database is not exposed to the internet and application updates do not require rebuilding the instance. A Caddy reverse proxy handles HTTPS and your free SSL certificate.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance you run this helpdesk software on. The many dimensions listed are AWS instance types, not separate product editions. Each name reflects an instance size and family, from small shared options like t3.micro to memory-, compute-, and GPU-focused sizes such as r5, c5, and p3 series. Your hourly rate rises with instance size and capacity. Choose one instance type to match your workload and cost needs. Billing runs per instance-hour of actual usage. The underlying software stack stays the same across every instance option.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What software stack comes pre-installed on the machine image, regardless of which instance type I pick?
The image bundles the UVdesk helpdesk software, the AlmaLinux operating system, a relational database, the Apache web server, the PHP scripting language, a web-based database admin tool, and firewall management software. This stack stays identical across every instance type; only the underlying compute capacity changes.
Am I charged the hourly software fee when my instance is stopped or powered off?
The software charge meters running instance-hours. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. Underlying AWS charges, such as storage for the stopped instance, may still apply separately. Billing resumes when you start the instance again.
Does one instance-hour represent a virtual machine or a physical server for billing?
One unit is one hour of a single running EC2 virtual machine of the instance type you select. Each running instance meters its own hours. Running two instances doubles the hourly software charge, since each accrues separately.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
Release Notes for UVdesk 1.1.8 Alma Linux 10 (EGL Build 260915.1)
This version supersedes the existing UVDesk 1.18 (EGL Build 260629.1).
What is New:
(NEW) Containerized build on AlmaLinux 10, replacing AlmaLinux 9. UVdesk and its database run as containers, so application updates can be delivered without replacing the AMI, and your ticket attachments and uploaded files are kept in storage that an update does not touch.
(NEW) Your helpdesk is installed and ready when the instance finishes starting. There is no browser setup wizard to walk through. The database, the schema, the support roles and your administrator account are created for you, using the application's own supported console commands.
(NEW) The exact UVdesk version is fixed in the image and verified by checksum at build time. The previous build downloaded whatever the current-stable link pointed at on the day each instance was launched, so no two instances were guaranteed alike. Every instance of a given build now runs identical code.
(NEW) Use your own domain name with a free SSL certificate. Run one command, sudo egl-setup-domain.sh.x, and enter your domain. A free Let's Encrypt certificate is requested automatically and renews itself from then on. No email address is required and no configuration files need editing.
(NEW) Automatic HTTP to HTTPS redirect once a domain is associated, so visitors reach the secure address whichever they type.
(NEW) Reverse proxy included. TLS is handled by a Caddy proxy in front of UVdesk, so certificates survive application updates and container restarts instead of needing to be reinstalled.
(NEW) Incoming support mail is collected on a schedule. The mailbox refresh runs every five minutes once you have added a mailbox, so email turns into tickets without anything further to set up.
(FIXED) The application now runs in production mode. The distributed application runs Symfony in development mode, which returns full stack traces and exposes the developer profiler to anyone who triggers an error. The previous build shipped in that state.
(FIXED) Every instance now has its own application secret. The distribution ships a literal placeholder in its place, and neither the setup wizard nor the previous installer ever replaced it. That value signs session cookies and CSRF tokens.
(FIXED) The site address your helpdesk records for itself is now written during installation and when you associate a domain. The application ships with a placeholder that installation does not fix, which is why community threads describe editing the file by hand.
(FIXED) The installation summary now gives both addresses. UVdesk serves a public support centre at the plain address and signs agents in at a separate address that carries a language prefix, so the obvious guess returns a not-found page. The previous summary named only one.
(FIXED) Installation can no longer report success after a failure. The previous installer checked for the presence of a file that ships inside the download itself, so a completely failed install still printed the success summary.
(IMPROVED) The version is recorded correctly. This release is UVdesk Community 1.1.8. Earlier builds recorded it as 1.18, which is the same release with the dots lost.
(IMPROVED) MariaDB 11.4, replacing the distribution's MariaDB 10.5.
(IMPROVED) The database is no longer reachable from outside the instance. It runs on an isolated internal network with no published port, and the recommended inbound ports are now only 22, 80 and 443. Port 3306 no longer needs to be open and must not be.
(IMPROVED) Built without the redis PHP extension. The UVdesk project documents that this extension breaks its own installer, and the previous build had it installed and running. The build now fails if it is ever present.
(IMPROVED) Installation no longer depends on a single image source. If one source is unavailable the installer falls back to others automatically, so a new instance can still be built.
(IMPROVED) Clearer installation messages, including a check that your domain points at the instance before a certificate is requested. This avoids the Let's Encrypt rate limit that follows repeated failed attempts.
(IMPROVED) AlmaLinux 10 with current patches, replacing AlmaLinux 9.
(REMOVED) phpMyAdmin is no longer included. The database is no longer reachable from outside the instance, and a database administration console published on the public internet is the most direct route into every ticket and customer record the helpdesk holds.
(REMOVED) The DNS server and the second cache service that earlier builds installed are gone. Neither was used by the helpdesk.
(REMOVED) Firewalld is no longer listed. The AlmaLinux cloud image these builds were made from removes it, so it was not present to configure, and in the container model there is no exposed port for it to protect.
Please note: UVdesk Community 1.1.8 is the current release from the UVdesk project, published in September 2025. It is built on Symfony 5.4 and logs deprecation notices at startup from components its authors have not yet replaced. These are upstream's to resolve and none of them affects function.
The installer creates your database and administrator account and prints the sign-in email and password once, at the end. Write the password down before closing the terminal. It is generated for your instance and is not stored anywhere you can read it back.
Sign in at the agent address with the email and password from the summary.
Change that email address to your own under your profile, because password resets go to whatever address is on the account.
To use your own domain name with a free SSL certificate, run: sudo /usr/local/bin/egl-setup-domain.sh.x
To turn incoming email into tickets, add your support mailbox under Settings, and configure an outgoing mail provider. This image does not include a local mail server, so no mail is sent or collected until you do.
