You pay by the hour for a preconfigured image running Apache Guacamole with MySQL on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. The price varies only by the EC2 instance type you select. Options span burstable general-purpose families (t2, t3, t3a) and steady general-purpose families (m4, m5, m6, m7 and their variants). Within each family, sizes range from nano and micro up to metal instances. Larger sizes carry more CPU and memory, so their hourly rate rises accordingly. There are no tiers or add-ons; you simply match the instance size to your workload and run time.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly rate covers one running EC2 instance of that type. The instance size sets the CPU and memory you receive. Burstable families (t2, t3, t3a) allocate baseline CPU with short bursts. Steady families (m4, m5, m6, m7) provide consistent CPU. You run the preconfigured Apache Guacamole with MySQL image on it.
The hourly software rate meters running time. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volume may still apply while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
You select the instance type at launch, and the hourly rate follows that choice. To move to a different size, you launch or resize to another instance type. The new hourly rate then applies. Larger sizes carry more CPU and memory, so their rate is higher.

1.- Launch the product via 1-Click 2.- Use a web browser to access the Guacamole console at: http://[ec2-ip]:8080/guacamole, where [ec2-ip] is the public ip provided by Amazon for your instance. 3.- Log in using the following credentials: - Username: 'guacadmin' - Password: the 'instance_id' of the instance
Apache Tomcat Manager and Host Manager Applications are disabled by default.
You can also access your instance via SSH using the username 'ubuntu' and your Amazon private key.
