You pay by the hour for a preconfigured Apache Karaf image running on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Pricing is usage-based, so charges accrue only while an instance runs. The single variable is the EC2 instance type you select. Options span burstable t2 and t3 sizes for light or intermittent workloads, general-purpose m4 through m7 families, and bare-metal configurations for larger demands. Within each family, the hourly rate scales with instance size, from nano and micro up to metal and 48xlarge. You choose the size that matches your compute, memory, and networking needs.

You get a preconfigured machine image with Apache Karaf installed on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, running on the EC2 instance size you pick. The hourly rate covers the software image. The instance's compute, memory, and networking capacity depend on the family and size you choose.
The software charge meters running time only. When you stop an instance, hourly software charges stop accruing. Note that separate AWS storage fees for the instance's disk may still apply while it is stopped, but those are billed by AWS, not by this listing.
There is no separate scaling fee. Cost scales only with the instance type you select. To get more compute, memory, or networking, you launch a different, larger instance size. The hourly rate changes to match that instance type. You are never billed on two dimensions at once for one instance.

1.- Launch the product via 1-Click 2.- Use a web browser to access the Hawtio console at: http://[ec2-ip]:8181/hawtio, where [ec2-ip] is the public ip provided by Amazon for your instance. 3.- Log in using the following credentials: - Username: 'karaf' - Password: the 'instance_id' of the instance
You can also access your instance via SSH using the username 'ubuntu' and your Amazon private key.
