This contract prices your VMware migration and modernization by the number of virtual machines (VMs) you move. Four tiers set the scale. Tier 1 covers 1 to 1,000 VMs. Tier 2 covers 1,001 to 3,000 VMs. Tier 3 covers 3,001 to 5,000 VMs. As your VM estate grows, you move up to the tier matching your count. Tier 4 handles estates of 5,001 or more VMs; you contact the vendor for a private offer instead of a listed price. You pick the single tier that fits your total VM count.

What counts as one VM for tier pricing?
A VM is one virtual machine in your VMware estate that you migrate or modernize. Each virtual machine counts as one unit toward your tier total, even when several VMs share a physical host. The platform maps each VM independently during discovery and transformation.
If my VM count grows past my tier limit, does the next tier apply automatically?
No. Each tier covers a fixed VM range, and you pick the single tier matching your total count. Growth beyond your tier's ceiling means selecting the higher tier that fits your new total, not an automatic overage. Estates of 5,001 or more VMs move to Tier 4 through a private offer.
What work does the per-VM price cover during migration?
The per-VM price covers assessing and migrating or modernizing each virtual machine. This includes estate discovery, dependency mapping, workload scoring, and transforming VMs into containers with generated Dockerfiles, Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes manifests. Zero-downtime cutover with validation and rollback is part of the process.
