Kafka Connect distributed worker tightly integrated with Amazon MSK and AWS Glue Schema Registry with the included Change Data Capture Kafka Connect Source Connector for Oracle RDBMS versions 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, and 21c. Auto-healing is supported with usage of ASG
oracdc provides data integration, transactional change data capture, and data replication between operational and analytical IT systems.
It is tightly integrated with all AuthN/AuthZ types Amazon MSK (including full automation for certificate management when using Mutual TLS auth), AWS Glue Registry to store schema information, supports Avro, Protobuf, and Json formats for optimizing data transfer.
Starting from Oracle RDBMS 12c various Oracle tools for CDC and/or replication are deprecated and desupported and replaced by Oracle Golden Gate. This product is not intended to be 100% replacement of Oracle Golden Gate licenses however may help in many practical cases. Connector was tested using Oracle E-Business Suite customer instance for transferring various information (mostly INV, ONT, WSH, GL & XLA tables) to further reporting and analytics in PostgreSQL database. We tested both short transactions (human data entry) and long transactions (various accounting programs) changing millions of rows in dozens of tables. oracdc Source Connector's compatible with Oracle RDBMS versions 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, and 21c. You pay by the hour based on the EC2 Graviton instance size you run this software on. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS Graviton instance type across several families. Compute-optimized options use the c6g, c7g, and c8g families, including disk-attached (d) and network-optimized (n) variants. General-purpose options use the m6g, m7g, and m8g families, plus t4g burstable sizes. Within each family, sizes range from medium up to 8xlarge. Larger sizes carry more vCPU and memory, so the hourly rate rises as you scale up.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billed hour represent for this software?
You pay for each hour the EC2 Graviton instance runs. The dimension name maps to a specific instance type, like c8g.large or m8gd.4xlarge. The rate reflects the vCPU and memory of that instance size. Each running instance meters its hours separately.
Am I charged for the software when the instance is stopped?
Software charges accrue per hour while the instance runs. A stopped instance does not run the software, so no hourly software charge applies. You may still owe underlying AWS storage fees for the stopped instance, but those are separate from this listing's metering.
How do I choose between compute-optimized and general-purpose instance dimensions?
Compute-optimized families (c6g, c7g, c8g) suit CPU-heavy change-data-capture and streaming work. General-purpose families (m6g, m7g, m8g, t4g) balance CPU and memory for mixed workloads. Disk-attached (d) variants add local storage; network variants (n) add bandwidth. You pick the instance that matches your workload, and the hourly rate follows.

AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
