Planview ProjectPlace uses a single pricing dimension billed per user. You pay one price for each user you add, so your cost scales directly with the number of team members who need access. This is a contract-based purchase, meaning you commit to a set term and user quantity. There are no separate tiers or add-on charges in this listing. Every user receives the same collaborative work management capabilities, including project planning, Kanban boards, Gantt charts, and document management. To adjust your total cost, you change the number of licensed users.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one user for billing purposes?
One user is one named team member with access to your workspaces. Each person you invite to plan, collaborate, or track work uses one license. You are billed per user, so your total reflects how many individual accounts need access to ProjectPlace.
Does every licensed user get the same set of features?
Yes. Because this listing has one per-user dimension, every licensed user receives the same capabilities. These include Gantt charts, Kanban boards, document management with version control, workspace overviews, and workload views. There are no separate feature tiers that change what an individual user can access.
How does my cost change if I add or remove team members?
Cost scales directly with user count. Each added user increases your total by one per-user charge. Because this is a contract purchase, you commit to a set term and quantity, so adjust the licensed user count when your team size changes rather than expecting automatic mid-term shifts.

It allows us to manage our work breakdown structure effectively through its task management features and the Plan tab, which helps us improve and grow as a team. It helps us coach teams that may be less mature, specifically regarding potential backlog refinement and prioritization.

The documents tab within cards does not integrate well with SharePoint, so if you attach a document and edit it, it does not sync with the online document and creates a local file version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to get better at planning effectively, specifically in projects, which is a major issue for us and not standardized currently.
