Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. Pricing is billed per hour based on the EC2 instance type you select. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, so your cost scales with the compute, memory, and storage capacity of that instance. Smaller instances like t3.nano cost less per hour, while larger sizes like u-24tb1.112xlarge cost more. You choose the instance that fits your workload. The software runs on a hardened AlmaLinux 9 image, and the same secure configuration applies across every instance type offered.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The rate covers the hardened AlmaLinux 9 software license with Docker preinstalled, metered per running instance-hour. It does not include the underlying AWS compute charge, which AWS bills separately for the same instance type. Your invoice combines both the software rate and the AWS infrastructure cost.
The software rate meters running time only. A stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software charge. You may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes while the instance is stopped, but those are billed by AWS, not by the software license.
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, so you pick the size matching your compute, memory, and storage needs. To change size, you stop the instance and relaunch on a different type. Your hourly software charge then follows the new instance type's rate.
