Contentful is a content platform that lets you create, manage and distribute content to any platform. Unlike a CMS, we give you total freedom to create your own content model so you can decide which content you want to manage. We provide RESTful and GraphQL APIs so you can deliver your content across multiple channels such as websites, mobile apps (iOS, Android), or any other platform you can imagine. With an uncluttered user interface, Contentful is an efficient tool for creating and managing your content online, alone, or in a team. This product also integrates with business applications like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, Commercetools, and Big Commerce.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing bundles a base license with add-ons and usage charges you combine into one contract. You start with a platform plan, Pro Platform or Premium Plus Platform, then pick a space size: Large, Extra Large, 3XL, or Max, which set content types, records, and environments. You add options like Studio spaces, Personalization tiers (Ninetailed Start, Core, Scale), multi-region infrastructure, Gold or Titanium support, and Gold uptime. Extra users, active profiles, and content sources scale as add-ons. Bandwidth, user, and API-call overages bill only when you exceed your contract entitlements. Contact the vendor for variable licensing fees.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
How do the space size options like Large, Extra Large, 3XL, and Max differ for billing?
Each space size sets fixed limits on content types, records, and environments. Large gives 75 content types, 200k records, and 6 environments. Extra Large gives 150, 1000k, and 11. 3XL gives 600, 4 million, and 61. Max gives unlimited usage up to current technical limits.
When do bandwidth, user, and API-call overage charges apply?
Overages bill only when you exceed your contract entitlements. Bandwidth overages charge per GB each month. User overages charge per user above your entitlement each month. API-call overages charge per 1 million calls each month. If you stay within your limits, no overage charges accrue.
How do the Personalization tiers scale as my audience grows?
Ninetailed Start, Core, and Scale set different monthly active profile allowances. When you need more profiles, you add units of Additional MAPs in blocks of 100k. Each tier also enables a different number of Personalization-ready spaces, so both the tier and add-on profiles combine on your bill.

Flexible, API-First Content Management for Scalable Multi-Channel Experiences
Reviewed on Sep 11, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Contentful is its flexible, API-first approach to content management. It allows content teams to create and manage content independently from the presentation layer, making it easy to deliver consistent experiences across websites, mobile apps, and other digital channels. The structured content model, strong APIs, and scalability also make it a good fit for organizations managing complex, multi-channel content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main challenge with Contentful is that its flexibility can also make the platform more complex to configure and govern, particularly for larger implementations with many content types and integrations. The learning curve can be higher for teams that are used to traditional CMS platforms, and some advanced functionality may require additional development effort. Cost can also become a consideration as content volume, environments, and users scale.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentful solves the challenge of managing and delivering structured content consistently across multiple digital channels. It separates content management from the presentation layer, allowing teams to reuse content across websites, applications, and other experiences without duplicating work. This improves content governance, speeds up publishing, reduces development dependency, and makes it easier to deliver consistent and scalable digital experiences.
Contentful Makes Content Reuse Across Channels Easy and Flexible
Reviewed on Sep 11, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Contentful separates content from the presentation layer, which makes it easier to reuse and publish the same content across different websites, applications, and digital channels. It also gives teams flexibility to manage content without being tightly tied to the front-end experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Contentful can feel a little complex when content models become large or heavily customized. Managing relationships between entries can also take some getting used to, especially for non-technical users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentful helps solve the problem of managing and publishing content across multiple digital channels from one place. It allows teams to reuse content, update it more efficiently, and gives developers flexibility to deliver that content across websites and applications.

Composable, Decoupled Content Architecture That Scales with Contentful
Reviewed on Sep 10, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I find most valuable is the composability. I can treat content as another service within the broader architecture and integrate it with platforms such as Salesforce Commerce, CRM, or other enterprise systems rather than making the CMS the center of everything.
For me, Contentful fits well with the architectural principle of decoupling the experience layer from the underlying business and content services, which makes digital experiences easier to evolve and scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, Contentful is powerful precisely because it is flexible but the trade-off is that you need strong architecture and engineering discipline to turn that flexibility into a simple, maintainable solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit for me as an architect is separation of concerns. Commerce systems can focus on products, pricing, orders, and transactions, while Contentful focuses on editorial and experience content. That makes the overall architecture more modular and allows teams to change or introduce front-end experiences without rebuilding the content layer.
It also helps reduce duplicated content and channel-specific implementations, giving marketing and content teams more control while engineering teams maintain the flexibility to build the experience layer using the technologies best suited to each channel.
For me, the real value is creating a composable digital architecture where content, commerce, customer data, and experiences can evolve independently but still work together.
