You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

    To access the deployed WSO2 Integrator MI and deploy artifacts, please follow the steps given below.

    1. SSH into the VM through the Public IP of the VM. The Username is ubuntu and the SSH Key configured during creation should be utilized.

    2. Build your fist integration using WSO2 Integrator: MI by following the getting started guide: https://mi.docs.wso2.com/en/latest/get-started/build-first-integration/first-integration-api-service/  and generate a carbon application using the WSO2 Integrator: MI VS Code plugin by following this guide: https://mi.docs.wso2.com/en/latest/develop/deploy-artifacts/#build-and-export-the-carbon-application 

    3. Execute the command bash -c "export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/temurin-21-jdk-amd64 && wso2mi/wso2mi-4.4.0/bin/micro-integrator.sh start" to start the WSO2 Integrator MI Server. This will start the WSO2 Integrator MI in the background.

    4. Check the logs using the command "tail -f wso2mi/wso2mi-4.4.0/repository/logs/wso2carbon.log" and wait until the server has started.

As an open-source platform, it offers strong flexibility and customization options, supported by a wide range of connectors. Its lightweight architecture, cloud-native readiness, and seamless integration with WSO2 API Manager further enhance its appeal for modern enterprise needs. The graphical Integration Studio also simplifies development and accelerates deployment.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    WSO2 Enterprise Integrator has a steep learning curve, particularly due to its XML-based configurations. While it offers extensive features, some users find the documentation lacking clarity for practical implementation. Additionally, community support is limited compared to commercial support, which may be necessary for critical enterprise deployments.

    What I like best about WSO2 Micro Integrator is its simplicity in integrating services and managing APIs, with easy configuration and strong support for enterprise use.

    What I dislike about WSO2 Micro Integrator is that debugging and error tracing can be challenging, especially with complex integrations and limited logs.

    WSO2 Micro Integrator solves the problem of connecting different systems, services, and data sources seamlessly. It helps me by making integration faster and easier through configuration-based tools, reducing the need for complex code and enabling efficient API management, service orchestration, and message transformation—all in one lightweight platform.

    The initial learning curve can be steep for newcomers, especially those without prior experience in integration tools. Sometimes, configuring advanced features requires in-depth technical knowledge.

    ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) features are powerful and customizable.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Although it offers graphical tools, understanding how mediators, sequences, endpoints, and connectors work together can be complex.

    Acts as an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to connect and mediate between them (e.g., REST to SOAP, XML to JSON, etc.).
