The software runs a MySQL database with a load-balancing proxy layer. Your cost scales with the instance size you select. Larger instances offer more compute, memory, or GPU capacity and carry a higher hourly rate. You choose one instance type that fits your workload, then pay only for the hours you run it.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of your chosen type, billed per hour. You pick a single instance type, such as t3.small or m5.metal. The software charge accrues for every hour that instance runs. Larger instance types carry a higher hourly software rate.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. When you stop the instance, software charges stop accruing. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from the software license charge you pay for this product.
The product runs a MySQL database with a load-balancing proxy layer. It routes write queries to the master and read queries to reader nodes. The proxy and reader nodes scale up under heavier load and scale down when demand drops, such as overnight. Your hourly charge still follows the instance type you selected.

CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). Usage instructions
- In Configuration section of the Subscription select "CloudFormation Template"
- Choose the Region you want to use
- In Choose Action section select "Launch CloudFormation" and click "Launch"
- Enter Stack Name of your choice
- Provide database username and password
- Provide proxy username and password
- Provide SSH keypair name
- Provide IP addresses that will have access to your resources
- You can use default values for all other options
- Launch the template
- Give it about 30 minutes to deploy
- While completed you can connect to port 3306 of your new Network Load Balancer. You can find its DNS name in Services -> EC2 -> Load Balancers
To connect to the operating system, use SSH and the username ubuntu. To access GUI use your browser at http://<public_ip_address>/

What do you like best about the product?
TurboGate has been a very useful tool for us, it has very intuitive features which makes it easier for us to backup database, restore the database or perform database migration.
With TurboGate with MySQL we can finally focus on our application instead of worrying about database related admin activities.

There are not really significant cons with TurboGate with MySQL, one thing it could do it add more features as similar products in market usually offer a large set of features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TurboGate is helping us managing our MySQL database environment which allows our team to focus more on our applications and make the best out of what is possible in AWS cloud.

What do you like best about the product?
TurboGate with MySQL allows to download the data in a useful way as per our needs and enhances the dashboards performance and also very reliable to use as the it makes the data scalable.
What do you dislike about the product?
TurboGate is not too user friendly and the mechanism needs to be easy. It should also focus on making it compatible for the first time users and the customer service to report bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best part of TurboGat3 with My SQL is it has auto healing mechanism which is assists in enhancing the productivity and meeting the goals in a timely fashion.

What do you like best about the product?
earlier i was facing issues related database management and data integrety,security. then i came to know about TurboGate with MySQL and it has solved almost all of my problems and i was able to complete my project in given time, in future i will be using this to make my project a small startup to go live.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing was the price point of the product as it is a bit on high side for a student, but with this price we get almost every thing which is need for my project . in this pricepoint we get all the features and can finally focus on my project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
problems related to database sync and data integrity and security and we can write the queries efficiently without any problem. with this my projectv performance has increased which helped me a lot.
