Transcend is the autonomous "can I use this data" platform. We encode every data-use permission (e.g., consent, preferences, policies, business rules) directly into the enterprise systems that process customer data, giving enterprises a real-time single source of truth for every data decision. Unlike legacy tools that capture consent at the front end and hope downstream systems respect it, Transcend enforces policy automatically, everywhere data flows so AI, personalization, and growth initiatives stop getting stuck at the governance wall.
Transcend is the only autonomous "can I use this data" platform that powers every data decision to scale customer growth.
Fortune 500 companies and emerging category leaders leverage Transcend to encode complete data use permissions directly into the enterprise systems that process customer data, delivering a real-time source of truth for consent, preferences, and business rules. The result is superior data quality, ethical use that protects the brand, and audit-ready compliance at scale. With Transcend, companies can unlock revenue from AI, personalization, and other first-party data initiatives with confidence.
Founded in 2017 by Ben Brook (CEO) and Mike Farrell (CTO), Transcend is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. The company has been recognized as a Leader in IDC's MarketScape for Worldwide Data Privacy Compliance Software and twice named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract listing has two pricing dimensions that work together. The Transcend platform dimension covers your base access to the data governance and decision layer. The additional platform utilization dimension bills for usage beyond what your base platform commitment includes. You start with the platform commitment, then add utilization charges as your use grows. This lets you match spending to how much you use the platform. Both dimensions are billed under a contract term rather than by the hour.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the base Transcend platform dimension actually give me access to?
The platform dimension covers your access to the real-time data governance and decision layer. It encodes consent, permissions, and business policy into the systems that process customer data. You can define policies once and apply them across systems, brands, and regions. This is your foundational commitment before any usage-based additions.
How do the two dimensions combine to form my total bill?
Both charges appear together on your contract invoice. The platform dimension is your base commitment. The additional platform utilization dimension bills separately for usage beyond what the base includes. The platform commitment usually drives the core cost. Utilization charges grow as your use of the platform expands over the term.
What happens if my usage grows beyond my base platform commitment?
Usage above your base commitment is billed through the additional platform utilization dimension. This lets you scale as new systems, regions, or models inherit governance automatically. You are not locked to a fixed cap; the utilization charge accrues based on how much you use beyond the included base.

What do you like best about the product?
The staff are the most helpful. They are knowledgeable and helpful with solving issues and educating our Team about the very powerful features of the platform. Discover, tagging, assessment that sync responses to the inventory and custom fields are amazing. Ease of use, implementation, integration and silo discovery are great. We use the system daily, and the user interface is easy to navigate. (I lost a large part of my review when the page made me slide a puzzle piece over)
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been some issues with bugs that cost some time when building out or assessment templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Silo discovery helps us move away from a system of trust, to a system of record. This is great, because the business often times does not know which systems they are processing data on. Transcend is able to help us with more accurate reporting and data mapping.

Transcend.io has transformed how we approach Privacy Ops
Reviewed on Feb 19, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
How simple it is to create complex flows for data privacy and consent management including assisting Data Retrieval for legal agencies. Prior to Transcend.io our organization could not have scaled legal compliance with a small internal team. After integrating with Transcend.io we are able to manage all Privacy Operations with a small SME group inside Engineering who can support non-technical teams to execute privacy tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It did take some time to integrate well, but that is to be expected with such a complex service. The only real constructive criticism I would give is that it would have been great to have a better timeline planned in the beginning to make sure leadership on our side was aware of important milestones for integration. We were lucky that we could continue our old solution in parallel to this integration, but I would imagine other potential users may need to time the cancellation of competitive software in a tighter window than we were required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transcend.io wholistically has solved brining scalability into our Privacy Ops allowing us to be at the forefront of legal compliance and have confidence we can navigate the unknowable future of legal compliance. It is the silver bullet to maintaining legal compliance in a scalable manner.
