Usage instructions
This product is designed to work with other Teradata software products.
- Use CloudFormation template to launch a multi-node Teradata Vantage system.
- System will be up and running after stack launch is complete.
- Verify system state: a) ssh into the one of the instances: ssh -i <private key file> ec2-user@<instance DNS name or IP address> b) Validate the system is up and running: sudo psh pdestate -a The output of the command will be similar to: all N nodes: PDE state is RUN/STARTED. DBS state is 5: Logons are enabled - The system is quiescent

What do you like best about the product?
What I value most about Teradata Vantage is its ability to efficiently process large volumes of data, its scalable architecture, and its seamless integration with visualization and development tools. Additionally, the specialized technical support has been key to the success of the implementation. The ability to perform complex analyses directly on the data warehouse without needing to move the data, compatibility with languages like SQL, Python, and R, and the ease of consolidating multiple sources of information into a single platform. This has allowed for improved strategic and operational decision-making at Banco NaciĂłn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some administrative interfaces could be more intuitive for non-technical users. It would also be useful to have more localized documentation and examples adapted to the Latin American context. Finally, the licensing model could offer greater flexibility for public environments with budgetary constraints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teradata Vantage has enabled the resolution of critical issues related to data fragmentation, slow information processing, and lack of traceability in regulatory reports. Thanks to its scalable architecture and integration capability, we have managed to consolidate multiple sources into a single institutional data warehouse, improving operational efficiency, data quality, and strategic decision-making.

Teradata vantage serves as the centralized data and analytics platform within the bank's data ecosystem. It integrates customer, transactional, operational, and regulatory data from various internal and external source system into a unified data store, enabling the bank to drive insights, compliance and decision making. This happens via overnight batch processing and reports the critical daily liquidity position, regulatory metrics, financial reporting, fraud, Enterprise data lake, customer's 365 applications, etc.
