AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the AWS instance type you run this software on. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance size, and you self-manage the deployment (do-it-yourself). Pricing scales with the compute capacity you choose: larger instances carry higher hourly rates, while smaller ones like t3.medium suit lighter workloads. You select the instance that fits your performance needs. Billing is usage-based, so you are charged only for the hours each instance runs. You can stop instances to stop charges. No upfront commitment is required for this hourly model.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What am I paying for with each hourly instance dimension like r6i.16xlarge or t3.medium?
Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance size you run the software on. You pay per hour for the instance while it runs. Larger instances such as r6i.24xlarge carry more compute capacity than smaller ones like t3.medium. You self-manage deployment, so you pick the instance that matches your workload.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running time only, so a fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly software fees. You can turn compute off when it is not needed to avoid charges. Note that underlying AWS storage tied to a stopped instance may still bill separately from this hourly software rate.
How does this hourly model work compared to a fixed upfront commitment?
This listing meters actual instance-hours with no upfront commitment. Charges apply only for the hours each instance runs, so cost tracks your real usage. This suits variable or intermittent workloads where you start and stop compute rather than run continuously at a fixed monthly rate.

Teradata Vantage multi-node system with local storage SSD/HDD or EBS as data storage and deployed in an existing VPC.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Analytics Database 17.20 will reach End of Life (EoL) on June 30, 2027. Until then, only critical bug fixes will be delivered through maintenance releases. Customers using version 17.20 are strongly encouraged to upgrade to a 20.xx release.
If an immediate upgrade is not possible, customers must:
Have a documented upgrade plan reviewed with the Teradata Global Change Control team, or
Obtain an approved exception.
For guidance, contact Teradata Support or your Teradata Account Team
Starting in Q3 2026, Version 17.20 will not be available for new deployments via the marketplace. Customers planning new deployments should select a newer supported version (20.xx).

Teradata Vantage Fast Query Performance and Strong Analytics for Big Data
Reviewed on May 15, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I have been learning Teradata Vantage for the last few months, and my experience has been good so far. One thing that stands out is its ability to handle large amounts of data with good performance and faster query processing. While practicing, I found it useful for analytics and reporting tasks, especially when working with structured data. I also liked that it supports integration with different tools, which makes data management and workflows more convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I am still learning Teradata Vantage from the past few months, one challenge I faced was that the platform can feel a little complex for beginners at first. Some features and setup steps take time to understand properly, especially for users who are new to data analytics tools. I feel Teradata could improve the beginner learning experience by adding more simple tutorials, realworld examples, and guided walkthroughs inside the platform. This would help new users start more confidently and learn faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I recently started learning and using Teradata Vantage, mainly to understand how large-scale data management and analytics platforms work in real business environments. Before this, handling and analyzing large datasets felt difficult and unorganized, especially when data comes from different sources. While learning, I faced some challenges understanding the platform’s advanced features and workflow, but with practice it became easier to see how powerful it is for data analytics and reporting. One benefit I noticed is that Teradata Vantage helps process large amounts of data more efficiently and supports faster query performance, which can save time for businesses. It also allows companies to manage analytics, reporting, and integrations in one platform, making decision-making easier. For learners like me, it is helping build practical knowledge in data analytics and enterprise-level database systems, which can be useful for future career opportunities. I think buyers choose Teradata Vantage because businesses today depend heavily on data, and platforms like this help them analyze information faster and more accurately. As AI, cloud technology, and data-driven decision making continue growing, tools like Teradata Vantage can become even more valuable for companies looking to scale and manage data efficiently.
