This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for independent AWS packaging, validation, maintenance and setup documentation. jmattheis and the Gotify project publish Gotify server under MIT. Software Sushi supplies the AMI recipe, a pinned source-built linux/amd64 derivative identified as 3.1.1-sushi1, first-boot TLS and admin identity, loopback-only defaults, and setup documentation. This build is not the official release ELF and does not claim upstream endorsement.
Launch the approved version on t3.medium with at least 16 GiB encrypted root storage and at least 2 GiB RAM. Connect with AWS Systems Manager as ubuntu or restrict SSH to your administrative CIDR. First boot writes this instance's TLS certificate, private key, and admin password, then starts Gotify. Nothing sensitive is baked into the image. HTTPS listens on 127.0.0.1:8443 only. Plain HTTP on 127.0.0.1:8080 redirects to HTTPS. Keep passwords and tokens out of recordings and tickets.
The standard software fee is described in the AWS Marketplace offer terms. EC2, EBS and data-transfer charges are billed separately. See the offer terms for applicable billing promotions.
After launch, wait for cloud-init to finish, then follow the bundled README for configuration, backup and day-2 operations. Registration and plugins are off.

You pay for this product on a single usage-based dimension tied to the t3.medium Amazon EC2 instance, billed per hour. The hourly software charge applies for each hour the instance runs. There are no tiers or quantity commitments to choose between. Charges scale with how long you keep the instance active. The image launches in your own AWS account, so you control the region, access, and runtime. AWS infrastructure costs such as compute, storage, networking, and data transfer are billed separately from this software charge.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly t3.medium charge, and what runs on it?
You get the Gotify Notification Server pre-installed on a security-hardened image running on a t3.medium Amazon EC2 instance in your own AWS account. The t3.medium is a general-purpose instance size. You add your own credentials after launch and manage the infrastructure yourself.
Am I charged the hourly software fee when the instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly software charge applies for each hour the instance runs. A fully stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. Note that stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage charges for attached volumes, which are billed independently.
What costs are separate from this hourly software charge?
AWS infrastructure such as EC2 compute, storage, networking, and data transfer is billed separately. Any connected model providers, messaging platforms, or other external services charge for their own usage and require your own accounts. Review the listing for current terms before subscribing.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
