This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for independent AWS packaging, validation, maintenance and setup documentation. Stichting DuckDB Foundation publishes DuckDB under MIT; Software Sushi supplies the AMI recipe, pinned official linux/amd64 CLI, pinned httpfs and aws extensions for v1.5.6, a first-boot workspace, and setup documentation without claiming upstream endorsement.
Launch the approved version on t3.medium with at least 16 GiB encrypted root storage and at least 4 GiB RAM. Connect with AWS Systems Manager as ubuntu or restrict SSH to your administrative CIDR. First boot creates the local workspace and environment defaults; nothing sensitive is baked into the image. DuckDB does not listen on a TCP port. This image does not install Jupyter or a web server. Keep credentials out of recordings and tickets.
The standard software fee is described in the AWS Marketplace offer terms. EC2, EBS and data-transfer charges are billed separately. See the offer terms for applicable billing promotions.
After launch, wait for cloud-init to finish, then follow the bundled README for configuration, backup and day-2 operations. IAM is optional until you query your own S3 bucket with an instance role.

This listing uses one usage-based pricing dimension, billed by the hour for a t3.medium Amazon EC2 instance. You pay for the software only while the instance runs, so costs scale directly with hours of use. There are no tiers or quantity commitments to choose between. The AMI runs in your own AWS account. Separate charges apply for AWS infrastructure such as EC2, storage, networking, and data transfer, plus any outside model providers or messaging services you connect. Review the listing for current setup, usage, and support terms.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get with the t3.medium hourly rate?
You get the software running on one t3.medium Amazon EC2 instance. This is a general-purpose instance size with two virtual CPUs and moderate memory. The hourly charge covers the software license for that single instance while it runs in your AWS account.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
The software charge meters running hours only, so a fully powered-off instance stops accruing software fees. Underlying AWS resources, such as attached storage, may still bill while the instance is stopped. Review your AWS console to confirm what remains active.
What costs are separate from the hourly software charge?
AWS infrastructure such as EC2 compute, storage, networking, and data transfer bills separately from the software. Any outside model providers or messaging services you connect also charge for their own usage. You add your own credentials after launch, and those services run under your own accounts.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Sushi ML Studio is no-code machine learning that runs in your browser, on your own EC2 instance. Upload a CSV or Excel file, pick the column you want to predict, and it trains and compares against many scikit-learn models, tells you in plain language how good the best one is, and adds predictions to new spreadsheets. Your data never leaves the instance, and you keep the model file and the Python code that reproduces it.
