Cloud Automator is a service that powerfully enables customers to achieve in-house operations support for their cloud by addressing various challenges in AWS operations. Absolutely no programming knowledge is required; you can easily set up AWS operation automation for routine tasks (such as no-code backup acquisition, resource control (start/stop) for cost reduction, and daily resource management) through intuitive web browser operations. This frees you from complex tasks that traditionally required manual intervention, significantly reducing daily operational load and allowing customers to focus on their core business. Utilizing this service also leads to the prevention of operational dependency on specific personnel and contributes to strengthening IT governance through features like operation history and permission management. It enables cost optimization by starting/stopping EC2 instances and DB instances, provides backup management and data protection through version control of AMIs and snapshots, and flexibly handles complex operations with its job workflow feature that allows sequential execution of multiple actions. Moreover, a calendar view allows you to visually track scheduled jobs, improving the transparency of operational plans and simplifying their management.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing offers two contract tiers based on the number of automation activities you can run. The Light tier includes 500 activities and gives you limited functionality. The Basic tier includes 1000 activities and unlocks full functionality. Both tiers are billed as a contract and measured in Units. Your choice depends on how many activities you need and whether you require the tier with all features. Pricing scales by activity volume and feature access rather than by resource size or usage overage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one activity for billing purposes?
An activity is a single automated operation the platform runs on your AWS resources. This includes actions like stopping or starting EC2 instances, creating backups, or deleting snapshots. Each scheduled or triggered action counts against your included activity total for the tier.
What functionality differs between the Light and Basic tiers?
The Light tier includes 500 activities with limited functionality. The Basic tier includes 1000 activities and unlocks full functionality. Features such as job workflows, resource inventory, dashboards, grouping, and permission controls are described for the platform. Choose Basic if you need access to all features rather than the limited set.
What happens if I use more activities than my tier includes?
Each tier is a contract with a fixed included activity count — 500 for Light and 1000 for Basic. To run more activities than your tier covers, move to the tier with a higher included amount. The pricing scales by activity volume and feature access, not by per-activity overage.
