AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for this hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 image on ARM64 Graviton instances. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance type, so your rate follows the instance you launch. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, graphics, and high-performance families, in sizes from nano and medium up to metal instances. Larger instances carry higher hourly software fees than smaller ones in the same family. You pay only while instances run, with no term commitment. AWS infrastructure charges apply separately from this software fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged the software fee when my Graviton instance is stopped or paused?
The software fee meters running time only. When an instance is stopped, you stop accruing the hourly software charge for this image. AWS may still bill underlying storage for a stopped instance, but that is separate from this software fee. You pay only while the instance runs.
What exactly does the hourly fee cover, and what does my team still own?
The fee covers a maintained, PCI-focused Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 image on ARM64 Graviton, patched monthly. Your team still owns application security, cloud architecture, identity, networking, logging, operations, evidence retention, and assessor validation. The image addresses the operating-system layer only, not your broader workload.
How does my hourly rate change if I switch to a larger instance in the same family?
Each dimension maps to one AWS instance type, so your rate follows the instance you launch. Moving to a larger size in the same family raises the hourly software fee. The change applies when you launch the new instance; there is no automatic upgrade or term commitment.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
