Overview
What WalletIntel does
WalletIntel answers the first compliance question about a crypto counterparty: is this wallet on the OFAC sanctions list, and how risky does it look?
- POST /v1/scan with {"address": "0x28c6...1d60"} returns an OFAC SDN match (with the listed party's name and SDN entry ID on a match), the date the list was last refreshed, a 0-100 risk score with flags and, for Ethereum, Base, Polygon and Arbitrum wallets, native and token balances and 30-day outbound activity.
- POST /v1/investigate adds, for EVM wallets, transaction-graph checks over the latest 400 transfers (Tornado Cash contracts, known exchanges, DeFi protocols), a sanctions check of up to 5 counterparties and a written risk narrative from Amazon Nova 2 Lite on Amazon Bedrock.
- POST /v1/batch screens up to 20 addresses in one call.
Addresses are recognised automatically for EVM chains, Bitcoin, Tron and Solana; pass chain for other currencies on the OFAC list such as Litecoin or Monero.
Where the data comes from
Sanctions: every digital currency address in the U.S. Treasury OFAC SDN Advanced file (about 1,050: 532 Bitcoin, 261 Tron, 120 Ethereum, 86 USDT and others), refreshed daily at 06:00 UTC; delisted addresses are removed. Chain data: Alchemy. ETH price: CoinGecko. If the sanctions list or chain data cannot be read, the API answers 503 and the call is not billed; it never reports a wallet as clean because a source failed.
Three ways to connect
- REST with an X-API-Key header, described by an OpenAPI 3 schema (https://walletintel.waltsoft.net/openapi.json ).
- MCP: the tool walletintel___walletintelQuery on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway (path /v1/scan, /v1/investigate or /v1/batch).
- A2A (Agent2Agent 0.3): the agent card at https://walletintel.waltsoft.net/.well-known/agent-card.json with the skills screenWallet, investigateWallet and screenWallets.
Who it is for
Compliance and risk teams at exchanges, wallets, payment processors and DeFi front ends, treasury teams paying crypto counterparties, and AI agents that must check a wallet before sending or accepting funds. WalletIntel is a screening aid, not legal advice.
Billing
You pay per successful call on your AWS bill; a batch of up to 20 addresses is one call. Errors (400, 401, 404, 429, 5xx) are never billed. Rate limit: 50 requests per second, bursts up to 100.
Highlights
- OFAC SDN screening for any crypto address: the full U.S. Treasury list of about 1,050 sanctioned addresses (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, USDT and more), refreshed daily, with the listed party named on a match
- Fail-safe by design: if the sanctions list or chain data cannot be read the API answers 503 and is not billed, so a wallet is never reported clean because a source failed
- Agent-ready: REST with an OpenAPI 3 schema, an MCP tool on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway and an A2A agent card; balances, activity and investigation with a narrative for EVM wallets

Usage instructions
To get started using the remote MCP server, follow the instructions below:
Available Tools This MCP server (Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway) supports the following tool:
- walletintel___walletintelQuery - Crypto wallet screening. Arguments: api_key, path and address (or addresses). path /v1/scan: OFAC SDN sanctions check and risk score for any address (balances and activity for EVM wallets); /v1/investigate: EVM wallets, adds transaction-graph checks and a narrative; /v1/batch with addresses (up to 20, comma-separated). Optional chain for currencies other than EVM, Bitcoin, Tron and Solana.
Prerequisites
- An active subscription to this product. Your API key (it starts with mp_) is stored in your AWS Secrets Manager after you choose Set up your account, and is also shown on the registration page.
- Install Node.js and npm (for mcp-remote), or Python 3.10+ (for the Strands Agents SDK).
Authentication The MCP endpoint needs no connection header. Pass your key as the api_key argument of every tool call; replace YOUR_API_KEY with your actual key below. A wrong or inactive key returns error code 401.
MCP endpoint: https://waltsoft-marketplace-gateway-xncyjgs1uh.gateway.bedrock-agentcore.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/mcp
Claude Desktop Edit the configuration file at:
- macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
