You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. The software itself carries an hourly rate, billed on top of standard AWS infrastructure charges. Each dimension maps to one instance size, so pricing scales with the compute, memory, storage, or accelerator capacity you choose. Smaller general-purpose types like t3.nano suit light workloads. Larger compute, memory, storage, and GPU families scale up for heavier demands. You are not locked into a term. Charges accrue only while an instance runs, and you can switch instance types by launching a different size.

The rate covers the pre-configured image, which includes the operating system, WordPress, and a built-in firewall. Software updates and network protocols come with the image. Standard AWS infrastructure charges for the chosen instance apply separately on top of this software rate.
The hourly software charge accrues only while an instance runs. Stopping the instance halts software charges. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the attached disk while the instance sits stopped, but the software meter counts running time only.
