Dimensions summary
You pay based on how many matrix elements you use each month. A matrix element is one origin-to-destination pair in a distance and ETA calculation. Pricing is charged per 1,000 requests. The five dimensions form usage tiers by monthly volume: up to 100,000 elements, 100,001 to 500,000, 500,001 to 1,000,000, 1,000,001 to 5,000,000, and 5,000,001 to 10,000,000. Your monthly usage places you in the matching tier. As your volume grows into higher tiers, the per-1,000-request rate changes according to the band you reach.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A matrix element is one origin-to-destination pair in a distance and ETA calculation. If you send 10 origins and 10 destinations in one request, that produces 100 elements. Your monthly element total is the sum of all origin times destination pairs across your requests.
Your monthly element total places you in the matching volume band. As usage grows past a band's upper limit, the per-1,000-request rate shifts to the higher band you reach. Charges track actual monthly usage, so higher volumes move you into the corresponding tier.
The Distance Matrix service supports up to 5,000 origin points and 5,000 destination points in a single request. Billing counts the resulting elements, not the individual API calls. Larger matrices are processed as one request but generate more billable elements.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very capable. The key issue I have had with other platforms is implementing hard avoidance. NextBillion.ai solved that.

I did experience some minor issues with the Map Editor app interface. The support team are looking into this.

What do you like best about the product?
NextBillion allowed us to consolidate several infrastructure providers in one, the APIs are easy to use and have great documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had an issue with one of the geocoding APIs, but within 3 weeks the dev team took on an enhancement to make it better.

They offer enterprise grade APIs for logistics companies. We use these APIs in our platform.
