Smart EV Routing enables OEMs to provide an in-car navigation experience specifically tailored to the EV drivers’ needs, along with the flexibility to use the map provider and charging networks of their choice.
Smart EV Routing uses the specific vehicle model’s charging curve capapbility combined with live data from the vehicle and environment to provide the most optimized route.

- Configurable for both the vehicle maker and the driver—Drivers can choose between quickest arrival, short or long stops in combination with preferred charging level (SOC%) for each stop and arrival at destination. OEMs can use their preferred networks and set recommended default parameters.

Route optimization
Our API offers several customization options that can be exposed to end-users or adapted based on vehicle/make model. For example, balancing the fastest time of arrival with a preference for longer/shorter charge stops, or a desired maximum speed to make sure vehicle consumption efficiency is maximized, preferences for certain charge cards, or networks, among other things. This enables end-user route optimization according to several preference levels.
Vehicle consumption calibration
While the consumption characteristics of a vehicle model can be relatively accurately modeled, individual factors such as driver behavior, weather, or attaching a ski box to the car can drastically affect consumption. By continuously calibrating the consumption model of each individual vehicle, and optimizing the route accordingly, we can achieve far more accurate routes and range predictions. This results in eliminating the uncertainties about the actual range—as well as when and where to charge.
