Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. All 21 dimensions bill the same open-source invoicing software with security scanning and support; they differ only by the size of the underlying compute. Options span the t3, m3, m4, and m5 families, from smaller sizes like m5.large and t3.large up to larger sizes like m5.24xlarge and m5.metal. Larger instances offer more CPU and memory. Pick the size that fits your workload. Your hourly cost scales with the instance you choose.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly charge cover beyond the compute instance itself?
Each hourly rate bundles the open-source invoicing software plus vendor security and support services. You get continuous security scans, a control dashboard, and 24/7 support with a 30-minute response target. These services apply to every instance size; only the compute portion of the rate changes with instance choice.
Am I charged the hourly rate when the instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running time. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. Note that stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage charges for attached volumes, which bill independently from this software listing.
How do I choose between the t3, m3, m4, and m5 instance options?
All options run the same software; they differ only in the underlying compute. Larger instances provide more CPU and memory and carry a higher hourly rate. Pick a size that matches your expected invoicing workload. You can move to a different size if your needs change.
