This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for AMI packaging, validation, maintenance and setup documentation. Nick Craig-Wood and contributors publish rclone under MIT; Software Sushi supplies the AMI recipe, pinned official linux/amd64 binary, first-boot configuration, loopback-only defaults, and setup documentation without claiming upstream endorsement.
Launch the approved version on t3.medium with at least 16 GiB encrypted root storage and at least 2 GiB RAM. Connect as ubuntu with AWS Systems Manager Session Manager, or restrict SSH to your administrative CIDR. First boot writes rclone.conf and environment defaults; nothing sensitive is baked into the image. rclone does not listen on a TCP port for customer traffic. Keep credentials out of recordings and tickets.
The standard software fee is described in the AWS Marketplace offer terms. EC2, EBS and data-transfer charges are billed separately. See the offer terms for applicable billing promotions.
After launch, wait for cloud-init to finish, then follow the bundled README for configuration, backup and day-2 operations. An instance role is optional until you point RCLONE_DEST at your own object-storage bucket.

Try this product free for 5 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
This listing uses a single usage-based pricing dimension tied to one Amazon EC2 instance type, the t3.medium, billed by the hour. You pay only for the hours the instance runs, so your software cost scales directly with runtime. There are no tiers or quantity commitments to choose between. The software runs on an Amazon Machine Image in your own AWS account. AWS infrastructure such as EC2, storage, networking, and data transfer is billed separately from this software charge.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What specifications do I get with the t3.medium hourly rate?
The t3.medium is a general-purpose Amazon EC2 instance type with 2 vCPUs and 4 GiB of memory. The hourly software charge applies for each hour this instance runs the product in your AWS account. You choose the region and manage the instance yourself.
Am I charged the software rate when the instance is stopped?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. When you fully stop or power off the instance, the software charge does not accrue. Underlying AWS fees for attached storage may still apply while the instance is stopped, since those are billed separately.
What costs are separate from this hourly software charge?
AWS infrastructure is billed separately, including EC2 compute, EBS storage, networking, and data transfer. If the product connects to outside model providers, messaging platforms, or other external services, those providers may charge for their own usage under your own accounts.
