AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for PostgreSQL running on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, billed per running instance. Pricing scales with the AWS arm64 instance type you choose. The options span many families, including general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, and storage-optimized instances. Within each family, hourly rates rise as you move to larger sizes, from small shared instances like t4g.nano up to bare-metal instances such as r8gn.metal-48xl. You select the instance that matches your workload's compute, memory, and storage needs. This listing accepts EMEA orders only. There is no upfront commitment; you pay only for hours used.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate cover, and is the PostgreSQL software included?
The hourly rate covers the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server operating system and the PostgreSQL database, running on your chosen arm64 instance. You pay one hourly software charge tied to the instance type. The underlying AWS compute is billed separately by AWS on the same invoice.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running time only. When an instance is fully stopped, no hourly software charge accrues. Restarting it resumes the hourly charge. Note that AWS may still bill for attached storage while the instance is stopped, separate from this software charge.
How do I move between instance sizes if my workload grows?
You choose an instance type at launch, and the hourly rate follows that type. To scale, you switch to a larger instance, such as moving from t4g.large up to r8gn.8xlarge. Billing then reflects the new instance's hourly rate for hours it runs. There is no upfront commitment blocking the change.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Use the image to start an instance of your choice in Amazon EC2. Once the instance is running connect to it using a Secure Shell (SSH) client as 'ec2-user' and the configured SSH key. You may connect the instance to the SUSE Customer Center (SCC) or the region local SUSE operated update infrastructure using your existing SUSE registration key. Use 'SUSEConnect -r' or 'registercloudguest -r', respectively to enable your instance to receive maintenance updates and security fixes.
