This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and maintenance by AskforCloud LLC.
AlmaLinux OS is an open-source, community-driven Linux operating system that fills the gap left by the discontinuation of the CentOS Linux stable release. AlmaLinux OS is a 1:1 binary compatible clone of RHEL guided and built by the community.
As a standalone, completely free OS, AlmaLinux OS. Ongoing development efforts are governed by the members of the community.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for AlmaLinux 9.1 running on your chosen Amazon EC2 instance. The many dimensions listed are not tiers or plans. Each one maps to a specific EC2 instance type, such as general purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, or GPU and accelerated types. The hourly rate reflects the size and resources of the instance you select. Smaller instances carry lower hourly rates, and larger instances carry higher rates. You pick the instance that fits your workload, then pay only for the hours you run it, with no upfront commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The hourly rate covers the AlmaLinux 9.1 software with support from the vendor. It does not include the underlying Amazon EC2 compute cost, which AWS bills separately. Your total combines the software rate and the EC2 charge for the same instance type.
The software charge meters running instance-hours. When you stop the instance, hourly software charges stop accruing. Storage tied to a stopped instance may still incur separate AWS fees, but the AlmaLinux 9.1 software bills only for the hours the instance runs.
Each instance type maps to its own hourly rate. Moving to a type with more CPU, memory, storage, or GPU resources means a higher hourly rate applies once that instance runs. The change takes effect on the new instance you launch, not automatically across running ones.
