Theme Builder™
Enterprise unlocks all 13 presets across 5 professionally designed theme families. Use Page Builder to update homepage content, Page Settings to manage page-level options, and Design Studio to adjust colours, typography, and spacing.
These tools are available from the Koha staff interface and are designed to keep visual changes separate from Koha core template files, making the system easier to maintain and upgrade over time.
A complete Koha ILS
Koha includes cataloguing, circulation, holds, acquisitions, serials, interlibrary loans, Z39.50, SIP2, reports, a web-based staff interface, and a public catalogue. Koha Cloud Enterprise is designed for academic, public, and multi-branch libraries that need stronger continuity, recovery options, and operational flexibility.
High-availability AWS setup
Koha Cloud Enterprise is a high-availability setup that runs Koha across multiple servers in separate data centres. It includes load balancing, automatic scaling, a high-performance database with point-in-time recovery, automated backups, encrypted storage, HTTPS, and controlled network access.
This setup is designed for libraries that need stronger continuity, better recovery options, and more capacity during busy periods. Performance and availability outcomes depend on the selected server sizing, region, and usage patterns.
Trial and services
A 30-day free trial is available for software charges. AWS infrastructure charges still apply during the trial. Paid support, onboarding, data migration, training, advanced configuration, customisation, and managed services are available separately.

Try this product free for 30 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for Koha Cloud Enterprise, billed per running instance through AWS Marketplace. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the server size you choose. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and high-performance families, ranging from small nano and medium sizes up to large metal instances. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates and provide more capacity. You select the instance that matches your workload and can change it later. AWS infrastructure charges for servers, storage, and networking are billed separately by AWS.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly instance charge actually cover, and what does it exclude?
Each hourly charge is the KohaSupport software license for one running EC2 instance of your chosen type. It covers the software only. AWS bills you separately for the servers, storage, networking, and any added services like the managed database or load balancer used in Enterprise setups.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped, or only while it runs?
The software license meters running instance-hours. A stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Enterprise auto scaling can add servers during busy periods and remove them when demand drops, so your software cost tracks the number of running instances at any time.
If Enterprise auto scaling adds servers, how does that affect my software bill?
Each running instance is billed hourly per its type. When auto scaling adds servers during traffic spikes, each new instance adds its hourly software charge. When it scales back during quiet periods, those charges stop. You can set scaling limits to help control costs.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

For libraries that need more resilience
This Enterprise version is for libraries where Koha availability and recovery planning are especially important.
It supports:
A load balancer to send visitors to healthy Koha application servers
A managed Aurora MySQL-compatible database with automated backup options
Shared file storage for uploads, reports, and catalogue images
Application scaling for busier periods
CloudWatch monitoring for system and backup health
Scheduled backup exports to Amazon S3
Actual availability, recovery, and performance depend on your selected AWS region, sizing, configuration, and operating practices.
