SeekTable allows you to perform ad-hoc analysis of business data with pivot tables and charts. It is very easy to use, it is enough to upload your dataset (CSV/TSV/Excel file) and get a report in seconds. Tool can be used for real-time reporting by large datasets when connected directly to SQL databases (including Redshift), MongoDb or ElasticSearch. Note that data is not imported - SeekTable generates and executes database query on-the-fly, and you always get up-to-date reports which may be delivered on schedule with help of Zapier or MS Flow.

See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You deploy the self-hosted SeekTable software at no license cost. Pricing here reflects only the AWS EC2 instance you choose to run it on, billed hourly. Options span two instance families: T-series (t2, t3, t3a) for lighter, burstable workloads, and M-series (m3, m4, m5, m5a, m5d, m5ad) for steady general-purpose use. Within each family, sizes scale from micro and small up through large and multi-xlarge and bare-metal configurations, adding more CPU and memory. You pick the size matching your expected data volume and viewer load. The vendor recommends 1-2 CPU cores and 2-4GB RAM for most use cases.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Do I pay any SeekTable license fee, or only the AWS instance cost?
The self-hosted SeekTable web application runs free under its usage conditions. You pay only the hourly charge for the EC2 instance size you select. The reporting engine runs in trial mode for free, showing notices and applying report-size limits until you activate a paid subscription separately.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly charges apply per running instance-hour. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly rate. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the hourly meter counts running time only. Start and stop the instance to control your compute cost.
Which instance size should I pick for a typical SeekTable deployment?
The vendor suggests 1-2 CPU cores and 2-4GB RAM for most use cases, which points to smaller T-series or M-series sizes. Larger sizes add CPU and memory for heavier data volumes, many concurrent report viewers, or reports that process large content. Match the size to your expected load.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Once the state of your instance turns to "Running" (status checks become green - this can take some time), launch a browser tab and enter the url http://your_aws_instance_ip/. If you see "This site cannot be reached" error please ensure that a security group of stated EC2 instance allows incoming connections to port 80 (and 22 for SSH).
You will then be prompted to register a new account on your SeekTable installation (email/password/aws-instance-id), and after that you can use it in the same way as on cloud SeekTable.com.
Advanced app's configuration/upgrades are performed via SSH terminal. Use ubuntu username and keys you selected .
To enable email-related functions you need to specify SMTP server details by editing /opt/seektable/docker-compose.seektable.env file and adding appropriate variables (described here: https://www.seektable.com/help/self-hosted-settings-reference).
