SGNL delivers a fundamentally better way to manage access. It eliminates standing privilege and continuously evaluates context, who someone is, what they are doing, and what is changing to grant or revoke access instantly. SGNL integrates into your existing security stack via its identity data fabric, orchestrating smarter access decisions with a handful of human readable policies, not thousands of brittle roles.
SGNL is the continuous identity solution built for the real-time demands of today's threat landscape. Despite the deep investments by enterprises in tools like PAM, IGA, and IdPs, access decisions remain disconnected from live context, and standing privileges continue to expose critical systems to unnecessary risk.
SGNL integrates with your existing security infrastructure through its identity data fabric, a connective layer that ingests, interprets, and acts on identity, behavior, and environmental signals across your stack. This enables real time, context aware access control that grants or revokes access automatically based on what is happening right now, not outdated roles or assumptions.
The result is adaptive, intelligent privileged access that dramatically reduces breach risk while preserving business agility. Founded in 2021, SGNL is backed by Microsoft M12, Cisco Investments, Costanoa Ventures, Brightmind Partners, and others.

Annual Access Decisions
Access Decisions are those made using SGNL's policy engine, identity fabric, and action framework, as to whether or not an identity is approved to access a protected system or not.
This contract pricing has two separate usage dimensions that you commit to annually. The first counts your Number of Protected Systems—the applications, services, or infrastructure you secure with SGNL. The second counts Annual Access Decisions—each evaluation the policy engine makes about whether an identity can access a protected system. You size each dimension independently based on how many systems you protect and how many decisions you expect per year. Your cost scales as you add protected systems or generate more access decisions.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one Protected System for billing?
A Protected System is any application, service, or infrastructure you secure with SGNL. This includes cloud infrastructure, code repositories, business apps, API gateways, and MCP servers. Custom apps integrated through the authorization API also count. Each distinct system you connect and enforce policies on counts as one unit.
What counts as one Access Decision, and when is it counted?
An Access Decision is each evaluation the policy engine makes about whether an identity can access a protected system. The identity data fabric and action framework run these checks in real time. Every request evaluated—whether approved or denied—counts as one decision. AI agent requests to MCP servers also count.
Which dimension drives most of my cost—Protected Systems or Access Decisions?
Both dimensions bill independently and appear together in your annual commitment. Protected Systems count scales with how many applications and services you connect. Access Decisions scale with request volume across those systems. High-traffic environments with frequent access checks tend to see Access Decisions grow faster than the number of protected systems.
