You pay only for what you use, with four separate metered dimensions. Each dimension bills a different type of processing activity. Content extraction and entity discovery is metered per 200 bytes analyzed. Image tasks like OCR or face detection are billed per 2 actions. Utility processors are counted per 20 actions. Reading from or writing to an external source is billed per 2 actions. These options are independent, not tiers. Your total cost scales with how much content you process and which activities you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does 'content extraction & entity discovery per 200 bytes analysed' actually count?
This dimension meters the volume of text content the system processes. You are billed per block of 200 bytes analyzed during extraction and entity discovery. The count reflects how much content passes through, such as documents or emails. Larger documents consume more blocks and raise this charge.
Which dimension drives most of my bill?
It depends on your workload. Text-heavy processing raises the content extraction charge, metered per 200 bytes. Image work like OCR or face detection bills per 2 actions. Utility processors bill per 20 actions. External source reads and writes bill per 2 actions. All four bill independently and add together on one invoice.
How do image tasks like OCR and face detection get counted?
OCR and face detection on an image bill per 2 actions. Each image analysis task counts as an action, and you are charged for every 2 actions run. Rich media inputs such as security video, inspection images, or scanned files drive this charge as you process them.
