Spectra Vail is a multi-tenant SaaS offering designed to facilitate the orchestration, sharing and visibility of data across multiple clouds, multiple on-prem sites and multiple AWS regions. Cloud and on-prem storage can be configured within a Global Namespace storage, providing universal access to data. Vail uses the industry standard S3 protocol to interface with cloud, on prem disk and on prem glacier storage with object tape. This enables any S3 applications to write data to the storage tier that matches performance operational requirements. Taking advantage of cloud services is greatly simplified with Vail. Vail orchestrates workflows and enables any application to take advantage of AWS services, no matter where the data resides. Vail offers the unique ability to automate or trigger AWS services based on lifecycle rules associated to either local S3 or AWS S3 buckets. The feature reduces the complexities of manually building out workflows and invoking functions.
