JWX is the frictionless Intelligent Ad Layer that turbocharges AWS Elemental MediaTailor. We provide a broadcast proven, Next Generation Server Side Ad Insertion (SSAI) platform designed to eliminate the technical debt of legacy "pre caching" systems. By utilizing Just in Time (JIT) Ad Insertion, JWX ensures that ad calls are made at the exact moment of playback, recovering 10 to 15% in pod fill rates and surging VOD render rates to 90%+. Whether you are a broadcaster modernizing linear workflows or a digital-native streamer, JWX provides the centralized control needed to maximize yield and ensure a "zero fail" viewer experience.

This listing has one pricing dimension based on ad impressions. You pay by CPM, which means cost per one thousand ad impressions served. Your total scales directly with the number of impressions delivered through the server-side ad insertion technology. The more ads served across live, video-on-demand, and 24/7 streams, the more you pay. There are no separate tiers or instance sizes to choose from. Billing is usage-based under a contract, so cost tracks your actual ad delivery volume.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one billable ad impression under the CPM pricing?
CPM means cost per one thousand ad impressions served. Each ad shown to a viewer through the server-side ad insertion counts as one impression. Impressions are counted across live streams, video-on-demand, and 24/7 channels. Server-side and client-side beaconing track delivery for accurate counting.
Does my cost change if I use just-in-time ad insertion instead of standard stitching?
You still pay by CPM on served impressions regardless of the stitching method. Just-in-time insertion stitches ads moments before playback, which aims to improve render and fill rates. Higher fill means more impressions served, so effective delivery can raise total impressions and therefore your cost.
Are ad opportunities that go unfilled charged?
You pay per one thousand impressions actually served, not per ad opportunity. Ad breaks that do not fill do not generate served impressions. The platform tracks impressions, fill rate, and ad opportunities separately, so unfilled slots show in analytics but do not add to your CPM-based cost.
