AWS offers the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud services, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. You can use your AWS Activate Credits for eligible AWS services and support from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases–to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things. For a comprehensive list of eligible services, please review the lowermost section of the <a href="https://console.aws.amazon.com/billing/home#/credits" target="_blank">credits page</a> after receiving your AWS Activate Credit approval email. Note that the <a href="https://aws.amazon.com/activate/terms/" target="_blank">AWS Activate Terms &amp; Conditions</a> provide additional information regarding the eligible services.&nbsp;

AWS Activate Credits cannot be applied to any fees or charges for Amazon Mechanical Turk, AWS Managed Services, Ineligible AWS Support, AWS Marketplace (with the exception of charges incurred through the use of third-party foundation models available on Amazon Bedrock), AWS Professional Services, AWS Training, AWS Certification, Amazon Route 53 domain name registration or transfer, any Services for mining for cryptocurrency, or any upfront fee for any Services such as Savings Plans and Reserved Instances. For information regarding eligible and ineligible services, please visit the <a href="https://aws.amazon.com/awscredits/" target="_blank">AWS Promotional Credit Terms &amp; Conditions</a> and the <a href="https://aws.amazon.com/activate/terms/" target="_blank">AWS Activate Terms &amp; Conditions</a>. Any other service not listed in the <a href="https://console.aws.amazon.com/billing/home?#/account" target="_blank">AWS Billing and Cost Management Console</a> is not covered by AWS Activate Credits.

No action is required from you to activate your AWS Activate Credits. AWS Activate Credits offset charges for AWS Eligible Services incurred during or following the billing cycle in which you receive the credits. You can view, track, and monitor your AWS Activate Credits in the <a href="https://console.aws.amazon.com/billing/home?#/account">AWS Billing and Cost Management Console</a>.

An organization ID (Org ID) is a unique,
confidential code used to identify AWS Activate Providers affiliated with
Activate Credits. Each venture capital firm, accelerator, incubator, or other
startup-enabling organization that is an AWS Activate Provider has its own Org
ID.

If you're a startup applying for the Activate
Portfolio package (offering up to $100,000 USD in credits), you'll need to
enter an Org ID during the application process. This ID should be provided to
you by your AWS Activate Provider. If you're associated with a provider but
don't have their Org ID, reach out to them directly to request it.

For the Activate Founder package ($1,000 USD in
credits), an Org ID is not required. If you're not associated with an AWS
Activate Provider, you may be eligible for this package.

It's important to note that an Org ID is not a
promotional code and should not be shared publicly. If you're unsure about your
eligibility or which package to apply for, consider reaching out to AWS
Activate support for guidance.

AWS Activate works with hundreds of accelerators, angel investors, seed/venture capital firms, and startup enabling organizations across the world, whom we call Activate Providers. Some notable providers include Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Greylock Partners, Carta, Brex, and more. Startups associated with an Activate Provider are able to apply for the Activate Portfolio package using the provider’s organization ID. 

You can find details about your AWS Activate Credits, including the exact credit amount, their expiration date, remaining balance, and the applicable AWS services on the <a href="https://console.aws.amazon.com/billing/home?#/account">AWS Billing and Cost Management Console</a>. AWS Activate also informs startups when their credits are going to expire or exhaust via email: 1) credits are expiring (60 days prior expiration, 30 days prior expiration, expired) and 2) Account credits are exhausting (75% credits exhausted, 100% exhausted).

AWS Activate credits are applied to Reserved Instances and Saving Plans the same way as other AWS Services. Upfront fees for Reserved Instances and Savings Plans are not covered by AWS Activate credits.
