The Centre for Genomics Research (CGR) is advancing AstraZeneca’s efforts to analyze up to two million genomes by 2026, integrating large-scale genomic and clinical data through Amazon Web Services (AWS) to uncover novel drug targets, understand disease mechanisms, and inform all stages of the drug discovery pipeline with human genetic insight. Leveraging multi-omics approaches—genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics—at population scale, the CGR is creating one of the largest and most diverse datasets globally.
