Calgary Airport Authority Enhances Passenger Services and Cybersecurity on the AWS Cloud
To mitigate passenger-service disruptions in the event of a cybersecurity incident, the Calgary Airport Authority migrated its on-premises data center to the AWS Cloud.
Overview
Airports serve travelers all day, every day. To fulfill this mission, they need passenger services that are highly flexible, secure, and available without interruption. For the Calgary Airport Authority (the Authority), security has always been a top priority. In 2022, as post-COVID travel resumed, the Authority took the opportunity to plan ahead and prioritize an agile, highly secure, digital-first travel experience for its passengers. Moving workloads to the cloud became a key part of this road map.

About Calgary Airport Authority
The Calgary Airport Authority (the Authority) is a not-for-profit, non-share capital corporation, incorporated under the Province of Alberta's Regional Airports Authorities Act (Alberta). The experience we had working with AWS, from the presales calls to sign-off at the end—you couldn’t ask for anything better.
