Riskified provides a strong automated fraud prevention solution
What do you like best about the product?
Accurate fraud detection, strong friendly-fraud disputing solution, professional account management, useful analytical web interface
What do you dislike about the product?
Focus purely on fraud prevention means merchants in the EU need to handle 3DS/PSD2 on their own. Not a downside but something to consider when building a fraud prevention strategy and infrastructure. Riskified offers only the Chargeback Guarantee product - merchants who want to split traffic between chargeback guarantee and uncovered model (screening only) will need a secondary solution in place.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Riskified offers a strong chargeback guarantee solution that fully outsources transaction screening and chargeback financial exposure. In my opinion, it is a great solution for a quickly growing company as it enables you to invest resources into your product without the need to build teams and processes to manage fraud exposure. Like every similar product, the risk appetite is highly driven by the agreed commercials and accompanying SLAs, so merchants wanting full control over that will likely look for screening-only solutions in parallel with manual-review teams.
Very thorough and sophisticated product
What do you like best about the product?
They went deep into understand our product to build a better solution. They even won more of our business because they did such a good job on the subset we started them with. They took the time to understand us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting started was an extremely big commitment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are looking to onboard new members easily without friction.
Riskified is a Good Barometer
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Riskified gives an easy to review list of items that clarify why the order is considered a risky one.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once in a while Riskified offers only one or two items that provide a rationale for why the order is risky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riskified helps me weigh whether or not I can trust the customer.
Great Product for an high level of ecommerce
What do you like best about the product?
The best is the flexibility to customize your suitable sistem. You can select which level of control you want, but also the system can balance itself with the data you are sharing, so if you are able to share a lot of info on customers, returns,... the system will work in the best way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The possibility to also have a direct contact to the customer via Riskified platform could be very useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of fraud check and management, but also understand which are the 'bad' behaviour of the customers.

Yes, absolutely. The fraud management is considered one of the most important topic in Ecommerce Ops in the last years, so having a fantastic tool as Riskified could boost the ecommerce performances.

Easy to navigate, locate additional accounts along with any location data.

Unable to consolidate, may become confusing

Making sure we are eliminating fraudulent clients.

Great if you have a large user base globally.
I worked in the Fraud Department at StockX for over a year and now use it as a Team Captain.
What do you like best about the product?
That it is quick and easy to use.You simply just take the email and sometimes even the number run it through the system and you will get immediate feedback on why it was flagged. You can also re-run it right there and it a lot of times will unflag and when it doesn't it at least tells you why which you can use in your response to your customer. We also use it after a purchase is made to figure out of the purchase was legit or not. The system can show you where the order was placed, where it is shipped and also the billing so you can know if the customer actully bought the item. The system also shows you if/when a proxy was used as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes people are flagged for no reason. When we re run their info, they are flagged again. So alot of time we end up having to do a secondary look, which then finally allows them to purchase. Which secondary look is very easy I would say. I think once that sytem is updated and is closer to only flagging those that need to be flagged it will be as close to perfect. But it is kind of nit picking becuase in a sense you would rather it over flag and we are able to run another review than under flagging and allowing a bunch of fruadster to purchase on your platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Determing if something/someone is fraud on the platform. The benefits are simply that it helps you locate fraudsters and even tells you why something was fraud. Help you locate if it was flagged, why it was flagged...sometimes it is the bank flagging them and not even the system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would just update the feature on when the companr re runs an email. If we run it and fill out all the information to help the customer get approved, and they do not, I think we should automatically get the secondary review email to why not. Or when someone is flagged for fraud, same thing. It just makes it easier becasue sometimes people will get declined multpile times and we will re-run they are still getting delcined, just for us to reach out in secondary review and they are good.

The customer service is speedy and solves many of our issues.

Some transactions get chargebacks and we are unable to respond in time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most transactions that Riskified has approved are also eligible for reimbursement in case of chargeback fraud.

Ease of use and interface design. Easy to implement.

Second look feature is sometimes buggy, often requires multiple submissions of the same data.

This technology is extremely efficient, timely, and helpful for my daily duties.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the system's speed, so I can make decisions promptly, since there are dozens of situations to review each day. Even the review process is extremely quick, so that I can come back to it after a short time and get a verdict. Riskified also allows me to make an extra submission for further review, and that is useful. Furthermore, it is easy to use, and I can train new team members on how to use it within a short amount of time. The customizable email notifications are helpful. I like the ability to form quantifiable reports from its data, and that is very useful for creating new internal strategies and Loss Prevention, as our teams can assess and compare data from different regions and countries. One of the best things is that if a transaction somehow passes Riskified but is actually fraudulent, Riskified has our company covered towards presenting evidence for a reimbursement. All of it makes us feel secure and protected.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use multiple aspects of it each day, and I have not found anything to dislike about it yet. That makes this technology extremely valuable because many others are full of glitches and systematic hiccups. This is smooth and professional!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it prevents fraudsters from causing revenue/product loss for our company. Consequently, that saves us from having to make Lost Package claims. It also stops schemers who might initiate chargeback scams. All of that allows us to save time and apply it in other valuable ways within or organization. The less scams and claims that we must submit also streamlines our interactions with shippers and couriers, so the assistance is exponential to them, too. Riskified's algorithms notice a wide spectrum of factors, and it researches them with thoroughness and promptness.
