Enhancing Project Management with Jira.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jira is how it brings structure to project management and related tasks, measurable timelines and most importantly team collaboration all in one place. It significantly helps to keep everything transparent and trackable.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times Jira can be very tough for those who are new to it.
Its interface is not very intuitive also setting up workflows would require technical know. Jira is great however the steep learning curve can slow teams down initially

My Experience Using Jira for Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Jira makes it easy to track tasks, bugs, and features in one place. I like how it supports Agile workflows like Scrum and Kanban, and how customizable the boards, filters, and workflows are. The integration with other tools (like GIthub, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Slack) is also a big plus for team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially for new users. The UI has a learning curve, and some configurations (like custom workflows or permissions) can be complex. It can also become slow when working with large projects or lots of tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira primarily for project management, task tracking, and sprint planning. It helps us manage our software development workflow using Agile (Scrum/Kanban), track bugs, prioritize feature requests, and collaborate effectively across teams. We also use it to monitor progress, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
Great for keeping complex projects organized and moving
What do you like best about the product?
Jira helps our team stay super organized, it’s like a central command center for everything we’re working on. I love how easy it is to break work down into epics and tasks, assign things out, and keep an eye on progress.
It is the best way I have found internally to manage bigger projects across different teams, and retain traceability and accountability for work. It connects well with the tools we use day-to-day, like Slack and Confluence, which makes life easier.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can definitely be a bit overwhelming when you’re just getting started. Some things aren’t super intuitive at first (like writing filters or setting up new workflows), and big boards can sometimes lag. Once you get the hang of it, it’s great, but a smoother onboarding experience would really help new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking of KRs and the required milestones and work associated with that. This in turn assists us in both weekly, monthly and quarterly prioritisation to ensure we are still on target for hitting our big goals for the year.
It also enhances transparency for both management and our stakeholders.

My experience with Jira
What do you like best about the product?
Anytime we kick off hiring for a new employee, Jira makes it easy to update the necessary teams to get the onboarding process started.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at the moment. Jira is currently meeting my expectations as a tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining tickets within our Technology org
Is jira worth the hype? an honest user perspective.
What do you like best about the product?
Seamless integration as it connects effortlessly with tools like slack confluence and many more making it central hub for development and collaboration without constant app switching.
I love the real time insights customizable reports and visual boards that help track progress.
Collaboration feature things like comment mentions and shared backlog foster team communication especially in remote or disturbed setup

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the biggest dislike is how complex jira can feel especially for new users or non technical teams as the interface includes a ton of tab menu buttons and specialized jargons like sprint and epic.
Slow performance and loading time as jira becomes slow particularly when loading issue running queries or handling large instance .
Cost and accessibility issue as for smaller team or startup jira can be costly as it cost high for standard plan which might not justify the value of we don't need all the advance feature

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me while working without jira feels very disorganised as before jira team often struggles with managing task using spreadsheets email or different tools leading to miscommunication and missed deadlines jira centralized tak tracking allowing teams to create assign and monitor issue in one place .
As it resolve the issue for lack of visibility as in complex projects it's hard to know who is working on what and how far the progress is made jira provides transperancy.
As team especially distributed ones need a way to collaborate seamlessly jira facilitates this bh integrating comments attachment and notification within issue.

Project Management Tool that Fits Every Need
What do you like best about the product?
Jira has been the easiest-to-use and most configurable project management tool that we have ever used. The customization, configuration, and automation options feel almost infinite and have supported our organization through many years of transformation in our software development practices as well as our project management duties. Reporting is solid, customer support has been wonderful to work with, and the ease with which we have integrated Jira with our other toolsets has been remarkable. Truly, an easy-to-implement solution that has checked off all the boxes when it comes to project management and development needs. Jira is a tool that our organization relies on daily, multiple times per day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside that we have experienced with our use of Jira has been the slightly more limited configuration options in the Cloud versus what was offered via their on-prem solution a number of years ago. In the end, this issue is really mitigated by the fact that it makes the tool much more admin friendly and less intense from a ownership perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency is at the core of our transformation and ensuring that we are showing up-to-date metrics, reports, and status is critical to our success as an organization. Jira ensures we have up-to-the-minute status on work items, ensures we have accurate timelines and forecasts ready for review, and keeps our most complex work organized in a way that allows quick communication between our IT and business teams. Prior to our adoption of Jira, we ran our communications through Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Now, we have dashboards, reports, metrics, and professional timelines and roadmaps.
Solid tool to keep track of complex projects
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Jira daily for the last couple years, and what started as a tool that felt overwhelming has become pretty essential for keeping our projects coordinated.
The customizable workflows are probably the biggest win - we've set up processes that match how we actually work, not some generic template. Nevertheless we created some standard solutions as well that suits us the best.
The integrations and Atlassian ecosystem make a huge difference too. Our Gitlab commits link directly to tickets, and the Slack notifications keep everyone in the loop without being annoying. The automation rules have eliminated a lot of busy work - status updates, assignee changes, and notifications all happen without us having to remember to do them.
Planning boards and the reporting gives us actual data to work with instead of just gut feelings about how we're doing. I can just pull it up and see exactly who's working on what without having to ask everyone "so what are you doing today?"

What do you dislike about the product?
Interface complexity is real - new team members consistently struggle for their first few weeks, and I find myself constantly training people on "where to find things." Recent UI changes didn't help either. I get that they're trying to improve things, but it definitely disrupted our workflow for a while.
I'd love to see them add more AI features - being able to quickly ask "what tickets need my attention today?" would be incredibly useful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps to have centralized visibility into everything. We can see bottlenecks forming before they become serious problems, track how our estimates compare to actual work, and give stakeholders realistic timelines instead of just guessing.
The cross-team collaboration has improved significantly. Designers know exactly what developers need, QA can prepare for incoming work, and product managers can make informed decisions about priorities. The audit trail is also invaluable when we need to trace back through changes or understand why certain decisions were made.
The comprehensive audit trail functionality has proven invaluable for troubleshooting and root cause analysis. When production issues arise, we can efficiently trace back through all changes and modifications, significantly reducing our investigation time. The reporting capabilities have also enabled us to identify process optimization opportunities and resource allocation inefficiencies that would have otherwise gone unnoticed.
The audit trail and history functionality are also really valuable - when there are some issues, we can quickly trace back through the history to see exactly what changed and when. This has saved us significant time in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Best on the market
What do you like best about the product?
Jira (and the Atlassian suite in general) is the best project management tool on the market. They are solving for complex use cases that other companies aren't even trying to tackle.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira is doing better than anyone else, and it's still incredibly complicated and opaque to implement. The licensing costs are almost purposely unintuitive, and setup requires paid licensing or a willingness to spend hours poring through user forums (and still probably get it a little wrong). It is not easy to use or implement. But it does the job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves work tracking and transparency across multiple work teams, both development and business teams. However the business team features are far less robust and les integrated up to C-level reporting compared to the dev team projects.
