Powerful for teams, but not always beginner-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Jira helps our team stay on track. I can create tasks, assign them, and see progress clearly. The boards make it easy to follow work. It also connects well with tools like Slack and GitHub. We use it every day to manage our work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s hard to understand at first. There are too many options, and setup takes time. Not very easy to use for new people. Customer support is slow — it takes time to get help, and sometimes the answers aren’t very clear. There are many features, but it feels too much sometimes. Connecting other tools also needs some technical steps.

Tool for pretty much everyone
What do you like best about the product?
It has been couple years that we've started using Jira and we're still finding ways to improve our processes because of Jira being flexible tool with quite frequent updates and new features. Our company has a lot of different teams that require different functionality and Jira seems to fit every need of every team.
Also Atlassian Support is very helpful and reacting really fast.
Also Atlassian Support is very helpful and reacting really fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a learning curve. It's not one of those tools that you can dive in right ahead. In some cases it's quite difficult to find even simplest things which, at first thought, should been pretty visible from the start.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Receiving and keeping track of issues/questions/inquiries that has been brought up by our internal users, managing projects and sprints.

We are able to break up our teams and use Jira in multiple ways to to help assist each department. We used the help desk for one group and product development for our other team. We utilize the Kanban board and sprint application.

End-to-End Project Management with Powerful Discovery to Delivery Pipeline
What do you like best about the product?
Jira Product Discovery integrates seamlessly with Jira project boards, making it easy to manage the full lifecycle of an idea—from discovery to completion. It's particularly effective for managing large teams and complex projects, offering a high degree of customization to fit various workflows. The integration with Confluence is also a major plus—it serves as a solid documentation and knowledge-sharing platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface at times feels dated and could use a refresh to improve overall usability. Additionally, Jira's native estimation and time-tracking features are not as intuitive or flexible as other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps us manage and prioritize a high volume of work across multiple teams and projects. It brings structure to our product development process, from capturing early-stage ideas in Product Discovery to tracking progress in sprints and releases. The visibility it provides across teams makes collaboration smoother and ensures nothing falls through the cracks. It also helps us stay aligned on timelines and responsibilities, which is critical for hitting our goals.
Excellent tool for requirements management
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is very visual and allows to easily manage a backlog. Items can me easily moved around. It also has a good notification system to interact with the rest of the team. It provides some automatic reports which I find useful (for example the sprint report) and some room for automatisation, which I am currently exploring as it seems very useful to get rid of bureaucratic tasks. The Plan tools is also useful as it allows to see the big picture while keeping detailed deadlines for each feature. Finally, you can also create your own board with key metrics to see how the sprint is going overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
One needs to do trainings to be able to use it and learn its jargon
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backlog management. Common repository for functional and technical requirements. Also stores technical notes.

The ease of issue creation directly from JIRA or Slack is really good.

What do you dislike about the product?
JQL, I find it slightly hard to work with, though the introduction of AI has made it slightly easier to work with JQL and query issues using custom queries. But I still feel there is some learning curve there.
The reporting can be better as well; the reporting dashboards haven't seen upgrades in forever.

It makes project management easy and intuitive.
Best tool for project management and task assignment. Easy to implement scrum board.
What do you like best about the product?
I can easily integrate Scrum board in Jira. I can create an Epic, User story, and tasks for my project. Task assignment to a developer is a very useful feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, search and filter do not quickly update the results. When I click to open the user story, sometimes it takes time to show the latest changes in the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Jira for the project management. I can easly bifurcate the project requirement and add as user stories, taks and sub-tasks. I really like the readymade tempalte which I can directly use for the scrum board. I can assign developer and points to the user story. So, easy to track each user story and tasks for the project. I can also link the user story and task with each other, so I can quickly idetify the related tasks for the specific story and find dependency.
