What do you like best about the product?
ease of use, intuitive and visibility. Kanban board

better templating for branding, interface could be better

change logs can be archived and can be used for compliance audit.

What do you like best about the product?
Stores project information including estimate and actual time spent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish sub-tasks could be assigned to a base project nbr instead of having to be another number. Also would like ability to back date projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes projects visible to upper mgmt.

What do you like best about the product?
Quickly assign stories, & understand the status.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not suitable for bigger projects which needed comprehensive resource planning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were managing IT projects for certain Marketing related initiatives.
We have been able to manage the team collaboratively, follow up on defects, & report status of the project quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Tracking an issue is easy with this tool, organize in the backlog, creating dashboards for Agile projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Filling in the fields is confusing when creating a new JIRA ticket with this tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Things are hard to track using an Excel or a physical white board, which became easy and organized using JIRA. This is benefited in tracking all the issues, not losing anything and realizing later before the release.

What do you like best about the product?
We work for a nonprofit so the pricing was really great. It's also a relatively easy to learn system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not great for larger scale communication. We end up having to go back to email or the threads get unruly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management has gone digital for us. Before we got on JIRA we were using an analog system, so it's a huge improvement.

What do you like best about the product?
The board system was excellent and it worked for our R&D team but not beyond.
What do you dislike about the product?
features for developers only, not for other verticals

QA, was great for assigning projects but QA doesn't always know the workflow of R&D

Powerful issue tracking software

What do you like best about the product?
Very customizable and love the rapid board views.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes overly complex. It would be nice if ticket creation defaulted to a more simple look and feel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking projects that we're building for the HR department. Saves time with JIRA and great for having a historical record.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want a powerful issue tracking software, this is one of the best of breed. Keep things simple though as you roll out projects though, or else you spend more time modifying tickets than getting stuff done.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that with Hipchat, our team is able to tag certain team members to see specific messages, we're able to search through old messages, and we can have many rooms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Hipchat provided read receipts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to effectively communicate, which is the key to any successful business.

Great tool to track engineering tickets & projects

What do you like best about the product?
easy to use and understand when used to communicate with our web developers & engineering teams. there is almost no ramp up time needed to learn how to use this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
haven't not really used this tool to manage other projects within my team (non-engineering) and not sure if people would really use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
communicate and track progress with engineering teams
Recommendations to others considering the product:
put together good on-boarding for your internal/external teams to get everyone onboarded for this tool. if everyone uses this properly then it can help with your project management tremendously.

JIRA is a great product for tracking Issues and adopting an agile approach

What do you like best about the product?
You can have multiple projects within JIRA. Issues can be categorized based on these projects. I like the fact Issues are prefixed with a code extracted from the project name. For eg:- The Maven project has issues prefixed with the code MNG.

I like the JIRA Query Language. It is very intuitive for developers. Adding timelines and states for Issues are easy as well. JIRA features are very conducive of implementing the Agile Kanban method.
What do you dislike about the product?
The User Interface could be improved in terms of aesthetics. They have been following the same UI model since 3 years. A nice change would be refreshing.
