A necessary tool for dev and PM
What do you like best about the product?
It allows PM's and developers alike to stay on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workflow isn't necessarily intuitive.

It has been helpful in connecting PM's and dev.

Jira has made it easy to keep track of projects across departments and different offices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like a more attractive user interface and to see the date on which new assets are added.
Sometimes multiple assets have similar titles and that can become confusing.

With Jira, we can juggle many projects at once and keep our conversations and assets organized in one place.
The best task tracking software
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating tickets, tracking relevant tickets by adding tags etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's impossible to find what you're looking for, also too many emails

We are small company with a global team across 3 continents. This is the way we communicate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to get tutorials for all employees using this product so they can get the most out of it
Fully Customizable, for better or worse...
What do you like best about the product?
There is endless configuration possibilietes, from the fields on an issue(ticket) to the workflow status and settings. The JIRA Rest API, is well features, and very well documented.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can take a while to get all of that set up, though it is not overly complicated. There can be setup paralsys at times. As a developer, the development environment setup can be daunting at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA has been mostly used for product issue/tracking.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy release organization and tracking. Love the custom fields that allow for flexibility with team organization and structure. Also great bulk editing options.

Emails are overwhelming. Somewhat hard to effectively utilize all of the features.

Can be complex to configure and hard to find where and how to configure.

Software Lifecycle is managed end to end with a single cloud package realizing both cost and time savings
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend the time to understand what you want out of it and how to configure it. Then automate those admin functions as much as possible!

Backlog tasks disposition and release management.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you create a task, there is no option to add directly in the current backlog/release.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtual kanban board for agile software development teams.
Overall great, however somewhat confusing experience
What do you like best about the product?
Complexity of software potentially allowing to use it in any team regardless the nuances in internal processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is very high for small (up to 20 members) team, task planning with hours estimated and spend on certain tasks are robust and we used Tempo planner to get what we wanted and this cost us another +1500 EUR per annum.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management and team effeciency analysis across web software development team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend to consider JIRA for companies exceeding 20 developers taking into account that cost per annum will be more than 1.5K EUR and also you will need internal competencies for setup, upgrades, configutation and general mainteance of system.
Great product for managing a product backlog
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of navigation, flexible search, lot of filter options, and excellent virtual paper trail. Very customizable in terms of dashboards and reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Filtering is tricky and based off of writing SQL-like statements. High learning curve with creating dashboards and reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to manage and prioritize new feature releases based on business need and revenue potential. We've been able to plan our development sprints much more easily now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool, easy to use, even for business users. Custom filters and dashboards do require some training/practice in order to use effectively.
Using Jira for bug tracking has been great
What do you like best about the product?
Good UI. Easy to use. Works great with BitBucket and other Atlassian products.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really think of anything I dislike. It works great for our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were previously using Gemini for bug tracking, and it was okay, but we had integration issues with our other products. Jira integrates much better with Visual Studio and the other Atlassian products we are using.
