Jira: Great for Issue Tracking and Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is an excellent tool for tracking issues and bugs, and it is also useful for documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit complex for new users, and I receive a lot of emails for minor updates, whether they're about bugs or documentation.

Jira makes it easy to track tasks, bugs, and progress in one place. It helps me stay organized, communicate better with the team, and save time on follow-ups. Overall, it improves clarity and keeps the project on track.
Great for IT Innovation, Less So for Company-Wide Business Support
What do you like best about the product?
Really good for technological innovation and project management within the IT sector.
What do you dislike about the product?
This setup is less effective for business support functions when implemented company-wide.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jarvis, the Atlassian-based project management and work tracking system, has been implemented across the entire business at Exa Networks, a small, technologically innovative ISP. The platform has proven highly effective within the technical departments, enabling teams to manage both large and small-scale projects efficiently and supporting continuous innovation. However, feedback from business support services indicates that Jarvis is less suited to the needs of more administrative roles, where its functionality can feel overly complex or misaligned with day-to-day requirements. Despite this, the wider business has continued to adapt Jarvis to fit varying workflows, recognising its overall value in improving collaboration, visibility, and operational efficiency across the organisation.
Efficient Task Management in JIRA, but Can Be Overwhelming with Notifications
What do you like best about the product?
I like the structured and transparent approach that is provided in JIRA and its task management is really efficient to manage tasks. It allows me to track the progress of my tasks and monitor the deadlines and also allows me to collaborate with the team efficiently. So the customisable workflow is really amazing and it allows me to customise the workflow in the way I want to the dashboard is really helping me how to prioritise my daily task and stay organised so that I can ensure that timely completion of the projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIA is a powerful and highly customisable platform, but sometimes it makes me feel complex and overwhelming because while creating new work clause, it asked me lot of information and even when I enter the information sometimes it doesn’t allow me to edit those work close after getting those and sometimes, it also provides too much notifications or updates like tracking task that makes it bit cluttered and for example, when I assign a task to someone, then it gives me 2-3 notifications for the same activity that I have done on the and that makes me frustrated because of getting multiple notifications for the same change is really frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA helps me to manage my projects very efficiently as I have been assigned multiple task on JIRA, and I can check those tasks that are assigned to me directly on the dashboard and can track the progress very easily. I can also monitor analytics project timelines that allows me to assign and prioritise task based on their priorities.

Powerful Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
This is the best tool available in its category on the market. Although the initial learning curve is somewhat steep, once you become familiar with it, you'll find it both helpful and easy to use. It's an excellent choice for team collaboration and project management. I especially appreciate how it can track multiple project metrics and task assignments. It has truly become an essential part of my daily work.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a first-time user, I found the initial learning curve to be rather steep. The pricing appears to reflect a balance between cost and the features offered. However, one issue I encountered was that the system can become noticeably slower when many users are active at once. Another significant drawback, in my view, is the absence of an automated refresh feature, which complicates things when multiple users are updating the same item simultaneously. Managing JIRA effectively also requires additional resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing workloads is much simpler with JIRA. I appreciate all the features it offers in this area, such as task assignment, labeling for better categorization, splitting teams, prioritizing bugs, tracking due dates, and linking multiple issues, among others. The list of helpful tools seems endless. JIRA truly proves invaluable for cross-functional projects that involve heavy workloads. Another major advantage for project management is the way it provides various customizable boards tailored to each team's planning and tracking needs. Additionally, it includes several configurable automations that help eliminate repetitive tasks, like automatically updating ticket statuses when subtasks are changed or closed.
An important tool for agile project management
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is an essential tool I use daily for tracking backlogs in my ongoing projects. The Kanban board in Jira is very useful as it gives an overall view of the current status of the project by displaying no of tasks in backlog ,development and testing state. I like the fact that timely emails are sent whenever there is a change in the ticket like if some user has added comments or updated the description of the ticket . Jira also allows to assign tickets to member of your team and they automatically receive an email notification as soon as it is assigned to them which reduces a lot of effort in manual follow-up with individual team members
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira is extremely useful and I have not noticed any issues with Jira and has all the features I require to manage my project efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whenever a new project is assigned to my development team ,Jira is used to create subtasks for the entire project in the form of stories and is then assigned to multiple team members.Jira helps to systematically breakdown a complex project into subtasks and also very useful for tracking project status .
Mastering workflow with Jira
What do you like best about the product?
Jira enables teams to design custom workflows, statuses, and issue types that accurately represent their specific processes. Its built-in support for Kanban and Scrum boards, along with features such as backlogs, sprints, and burndown charts, makes it a great choice for teams practicing agile methodologies. Additionally, Jira integrates smoothly with Confluence, Bitbucket, Trello, and other popular tools, making it a key component of a robust and flexible ecosystem.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a Jira project lacks clear guidelines and proper governance, it can quickly become overwhelmed by too many issue types and abandoned boards. This clutter makes effective management much more challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira remains the gold standard for software and project management teams that need an issue tracking system which is both rapidly customizable and highly scalable.

Jira provides a single source of truth for managing projects, product roadmaps, and development workflows.
It helps our teams stay aligned by clearly defining tasks, priorities, and timelines across multiple projects. Before using Jira, we relied on spreadsheets and emails, which made tracking progress and accountability difficult.
Now, every issue, sprint, and release is visible in real time, allowing us to identify bottlenecks quickly and keep projects on schedule. The reporting dashboards offer valuable insights into team performance and workload balance, helping us make better decisions.
For product management, Jira connects strategy with execution, linking epics, user stories, and releases to overall business goals. This has improved collaboration between product, development, and QA teams, and significantly increased delivery predictability and transparency.

What I Think of JIRA
What do you like best about the product?
The thing which i like the most is the CUSTOM WORKFLOW , we can easily set-up our custom work flow. Also the other thing i like is the dashboard and reports which saves so much of time. Is frequently used and can easily track who is working on which tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it is best suited for regular users, beginners may find it a bit confusing at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For managers, it can be quite challenging to keep track of projects. This tool simplifies their work and gives them better visibility into project progress. Previously, there was a lack of coordination among teams, as it was unclear who was working on what. Now, team coordination has become much easier, saving valuable time. Everyone can see which tickets each person is handling, which helps ensure tasks are completed before deadlines. Overall, it plays a significant role in keeping the team on track so they can meet their deadlines..!!
