Flexible Visualization with Export to Improve
What do you like best about the product?
I like the various possibilities for viewing boards in Jira, where I can see the same ticket information in different ways, such as in a Kanban board or a detailed list, for various analysis purposes. This flexibility is very important for my work, allowing me to adapt the view according to my needs. Additionally, the initial setup of Jira was quite easy, with most functions being easy to understand, which greatly facilitates the use of the software on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The export of data through a spreadsheet could be easier to select the fields you would like to export, it is very complex and not very intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to organize and record warranties, solving the problem of open tickets in after-sales and storing all the dealings in one place, with various viewing options for analysis.

It significantly enhances communication with the IT team by providing a platform to submit IT tickets and share necessary documents and information seamlessly. The presence of a chat feature is particularly beneficial, allowing for smooth communication flows and quick resolution of issues. Moreover, the initial setup was straightforward, making it an efficient tool for my team. The ability to work effectively with Salesforce without direct access for the IT team, but through Jira, demonstrates its utility in managing cross-functional workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the email notification system in Jira could be improved. It can be more fluid and offer an easier way to view responses related to ongoing cases. This issue can create a bottleneck in communication as it affects how we stay updated on different tasks and cases we are managing.

I use Jira to improve communication with the IT team, making work easier by allowing document submission and necessary chat features for team collaboration.
Efficient Team Management, Challenging Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Jira effectively supports sprint board planning and facilitates our use of Confluence for better team management. The platform's backlog refinement and team management capabilities are highly beneficial, making it easier for us to organize and streamline our workflows. I find the service desk features and forms particularly useful, which allow for seamless communication across teams using service desk tickets. The Jira board itself is a standout feature, notably for reducing the time it takes to plan projects. Additionally, the features such as Jira tickets and subtasks enhance our project management with their robust functionalities. Overall, the initial setup was very easy, which made the transition from using GitLab boards to Jira smooth for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the automation feature of Jira challenging. It requires a steep learning curve, as it seems hard for those who manage Jira tools and processes. This complexity can be a barrier for both new users and those trying to optimize their workflow with automation features, slowing down the process of maximizing Jira's potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Jira enhances backlog refinement and team management, streamlines planning with sprint boards, and facilitates communication with service desk tickets, saving me time. Confluence integration is valuable for managing extensive project documentation.

I like that Jira effectively tracks tasks and manages sprints, which helps streamline our development workflow and keeps the team organized with clear visibility on progress and priorities. It consolidates all tasks, bugs, and updates in one place, eliminating confusion and simplifying progress tracking during sprints. I appreciate the straightforwardness of monitoring tasks via a single dashboard, which aligns the entire team without constant follow-ups. The workflow automation in Jira saves a significant amount of time in daily operations by removing repetitive manual steps. Moreover, the integration with tools like Confluence, Slack, and GitHub brings synchronization across documentation, code updates, and team communication, making the overall workflow much smoother. Transitioning from spreadsheets and smaller task tools to Jira provided a noticeable upgrade in structure, clearer tracking, and improved collaboration features, particularly as our projects grew more complex.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Jira feels a bit slow and overwhelming, especially when dealing with too many boards or filters. Some settings and workflows also require extra steps to configure. A cleaner, more intuitive setup process would make it even better.

Unmatched Flexibility and Customization for Engineering Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Jira's greatest strength is its flexibility and depth. Almost everything from workflows and statuses to issue types and automations can be customized based on a team's process. This level of configurability is extremely valuable for engineering teams with complex deliverables. Its sprint boards are powerful; teams can manage backlogs, estimate tasks, link related tickets, visualize work in progress, and track velocity trends.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira's power can also be its weakness. For new users, the interface is complex and may feel overwhelming. Navigating boards, filters, workflows, and issue properties can be confusing until someone becomes familiar with the system. Highly customized workflows often create friction; too many statuses, transitions, or automation rules can slow down everyday usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves the problem of chaotic, unstructured project tracking. Instead of relying on spreadsheets, emails, or informal conversations, teams get a structured and transparent system where every task is documented and tracked. It brings clarity by defining who is responsible for what, the priorities are, and what the team should focus on next. It helps maintain alignment between engineering, QA, design, and product teams.
Unmatched Flexibility and Agile Support for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Jira's strongest advantage is its flexibility. It allows teams to customize workflows, issue types, and boards to match any development or project style. Its support for Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban is excellents, making sprint planning, backlog grooming, and progress tracking extremely efficient. The detailed visibility it provides through dashboards, reports, and automation helps teams stay aligned and ensures that no task is lost or delayed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of its advanced features, Jira can feel overwhelming for new users. The interface is sometimes cluttered, and customizing workflows can become complicated without prior experience. Setting up permissions, screens, and transitions often requires admin knowledge. Additionally, Jira can feel heavy for smaller teams that don't need such a deep level of structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves the challenge of tracking complex projects where multiple tasks, bugs, and team members are involved. It ensures that every issue is documented, assigned, prioritized, and tracked through completion. This reduces miscommunications and improves accountability within teams. It also streamlines Agile processes by providing boards, roadmaps, sprint tools, and reporting all in one place.
