Powerful Project Management with a Learning Curve and Room for Support Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Jira stands out for its user-friendly experience once it has been set up, providing a comprehensive range of features for project tracking, agile management, and team collaboration. The move to cloud-based solutions has made implementation even more straightforward, and it is widely used by teams that follow Scrum or Kanban methodologies. With customizable workflows, dashboards, and seamless integrations with tools such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and Slack, Jira serves as a robust central platform for software development and project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up the platform can be complicated at first, particularly for users without a technical background, which can make the initial implementation less straightforward. While customer support is generally helpful, response times may be slower for those with smaller accounts. Furthermore, the abundance of customization options can be overwhelming for newcomers, making the platform less user-friendly until one becomes more familiar with its features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira addresses the challenges of project visibility, task tracking, and agile workflow management for teams. It enables organizations to plan, prioritize, and oversee projects more efficiently, fostering better collaboration among developers, testers, and managers. By bringing tasks, bugs, and sprints together on a single platform, Jira helps teams remain coordinated, accountable, and productive, which in turn minimizes miscommunication and delays in project completion.
Seamless Jira Integration Makes Tracking Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Jira for over a year now, and I appreciate how it links stories or bugs to the pull requests or commits we create in Bitbucket. This integration makes tracking work much more convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t much to dislike about Jira, but I think it would be helpful if there were a confirmation step before assigning a ticket to someone. Sometimes, I accidentally assign tickets before I’ve added a proper description, which can cause confusion. Additionally, I believe that making JQL queries available for dashboard public APIs would be very beneficial for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is very useful in our organization. It helps us track which work has been completed in each fix version or sprint, as well as who is responsible for specific tasks, the amount of work done, and the time taken. We can also see how many tickets each person has resolved, review the set of features delivered in a release, and monitor the team's progress every sprint. Jira makes it easy to properly track Epics, see which stories belong to which Epic, and identify who is involved. Additionally, linking Figma, Bitbucket, and other apps within Jira is very helpful for keeping track of pull requests and commits.

Jira brings all our work into one place, giving teams a clear view of priorities, responsibilities, and progress. This helps reduce confusion as projects grow in size. For me, it means I spend less time tracking down status updates and more time focusing on getting things done, since everyone shares the same expectations.
Powerful Tool for Task and Bug Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I find Jira to be reliable for tracking tasks, bugs, and project progress, which helps my team stay organized. The Agile boards and clear workflows aid in managing work smoothly. I like how it clearly organizes everything. I also appreciate that it saves so much time by updating tasks or sending alerts automatically. I switched to Jira from Trello because it offers more advanced task tracking. I'd rate Jira a 9 out of 10 because it's very powerful and reliable for team project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Jira feels a bit too complex, and simple tasks can take more clicks than they should. Jira could simplify means, reduce extra clicks, and make workflows easier to setup. Setup was tricky at first but manageable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is reliable for tracking tasks, bugs, and project progress; it helps our team stay organized, manage work smoothly with Agile boards and clear workflows, and keeps everyone's work aligned.
Feature-Rich, but Needs Better Team Managed Configuration
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Jira is vast feature-wise and has numerous extensions, which makes it highly functional for my needs. I also get great account and resource management using the Tempo suite. Setting up team-managed projects was a piece of cake.
What do you dislike about the product?
Make team managed projects able to use more of the company managed functionality re access configuration. Team managed are great when starting up but allow too much even though that's probably it's selling point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira gives structure to ideas and objectives, and it offers transparency over budgets, defects, and success metrics. With the Tempo suite, I achieve great account and resource management.
