Brings Clarity and Efficiency to Engineering Task Management

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Jira is the clarity it brings to tracking and managing engineering tasks and issues. In my experience, it simplifies monitoring the status, priorities, and dependencies of tasks. It also facilitates coordination with cross-functional teams and helps ensure that design updates, issue logs, and change requests are closed in a timely manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira occasionally falls short in providing a clear connection between engineering design changes and their real-world effects. This often means I have to rely on extra manual follow-ups and communicate outside the platform to make sure everyone stays aligned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helps me clearly understand priorities, monitor progress, and ensure timely closure of design updates and issue logs. This improves coordination with cross-functional teams, increases transparency, and helps avoid missed actions or delays.

Versatile Tool with Robust Features, Steep Learning Curve

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the AI feature, Rovo, which makes it easier to track issues, and the simplicity of adding a ticket. The Slack integration is very useful because it automatically summarizes discussions into issues and connects with Jira Cloud, making the whole process smoother. I really like the customization options in Jira, as we can tailor the ticket process, forms, and screens to our specific needs, especially for our security projects. The ease of use is a big plus, and the automation capabilities are great for handling various tasks and syncing with other integrations. It simplifies sending reports to Slack and managing the ticket lifecycle efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that making comments mandatory in Jira isn't possible, even with the latest version. As an administrator, configuring the screens is often confusing and takes a learning curve. It's not very easy to understand Jira and Confluence initially, which means there's some learning I have to do before getting it set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira for managing multiple projects, tracking bugs, and integrating security issues. It helps with project management, collaboration, and automates ticket updates through GitHub integration.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Jira's ease of use and the user interface. It really helps with team collaboration and reduces silos. With Rovo, it's simple to extend the work items, create sub-tasks, and link work items.

Marketplace Apps are very expensive. Very small user groups use third-party market apps but the subscription includes all the Jira users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira for team collaboration and reducing silos. It's easy to document requirements in Confluence and create work items in Jira, which simplifies managing sub-tasks and linking work items.

Feature-Rich Project Management with a Learning Curve

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jira offers powerful and flexible project management capabilities, particularly for agile teams handling complex workflows. Despite its depth, once users become familiar with the platform, it supports frequent daily use through reliable issue tracking, Scrum and Kanban boards, and strong automation features. Customizable workflows, dashboards, and reporting improve visibility and consistency across teams. Jira’s seamless integrations with tools like Confluence, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Slack reduce context switching and enhance productivity. Over time, Jira becomes an essential, centralized system that teams rely on continuously to plan, track, and deliver work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira’s biggest drawback is its ease of use, especially for new or non-technical users. The learning curve is steep, and initial setup—including workflows, permissions, and custom fields—can be time-consuming. The interface can feel cluttered, making everyday navigation less intuitive, particularly for users who access Jira frequently throughout the day. Performance issues may arise in larger or heavily customized instances, and excessive configuration can make long-term maintenance challenging. Additionally, costs can scale quickly, and customer support and documentation are sometimes inconsistent for advanced use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira addresses the challenge of tracking work, priorities, and progress across teams by providing a structured and transparent system. It centralizes tasks, bugs, and requests in one place, ensuring nothing is lost in emails or chat conversations. Clear ownership, statuses, and deadlines improve visibility and accountability. This benefits me by streamlining collaboration and coordination—especially in agile environments—making it easier to plan sprints, manage backlogs, track work end to end, and deliver projects on time with fewer miscommunications

The initial setup was very easy, and because of all these reasons, I would highly recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are some minor bugs which jira needs to fix
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to prioritize bugs and enhancements with tickets, and it's very easy to use with great linking abilities to Confluence and other tools.

Exceptional Project Structuring and Team Alignment

  • December 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jira is how well it structures complex work. It gives clear visibility of tasks, priorities, dependencies, and progress, which makes managing projects and tracking issues much more disciplined. Once set up properly, it’s very powerful for keeping teams aligned and accountable.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Jira is that it can feel overly complex and heavy, especially for smaller teams or simple projects. The learning curve is steep, and workflows often need constant tweaking to stay usable. It can also become cluttered with too many fields, statuses, and tickets, which sometimes slows things down instead of helping.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves the problem of managing complex work across multiple people, priorities, and timelines in a structured way. It provides a single source of truth for tasks, bugs, and progress, reducing ambiguity and miscommunication. For me, this means better visibility, clearer accountability, and easier coordination—especially when projects involve many stakeholders and frequent changes.
