What do you like best about the product?
This is a great tool with a straightforward user interface, making it easy to use. It is widely recognized and utilized by all major organizations, so most people are already familiar with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search features for locating epics, story tickets, and other content on the Jira platform are quite confusing and feel outdated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a project management and issue-tracking tool that teams of any size can use to plan, monitor, and manage their work. It is particularly useful for software development projects.

Keeps work organized and on track

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jira is the visibility and structure it brings to work. Everything is tracked in one place, it’s easy to see progress on tasks, and responsibilities are clearly defined. Once set up, it keeps the team aligned and work organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s not much to dislike, but the initial setup and configuration can feel a bit complex, especially for new users. Once workflows are set up properly, though, it becomes much easier and works smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves the problem of unstructured and scattered work. It gives a clear system to track tasks, bugs, and progress, so nothing gets missed. This benefits me by improving visibility, accountability, and collaboration across the team, and it reduces the need for constant follow-ups.

Seamless Integration and Robust Features for DevOps Teams

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For a DevOps team, the Ease of Integration is the absolute best feature. Connecting Jira to our CI/CD pipelines (like Jenkins and GitHub) means ticket statuses update automatically when code is merged, which saves us hours of manual work. The Number of Features regarding reporting and agile boards is extensive, allowing us to track sprint velocity accurately. Because of this connectivity, my Frequency of Use is constant; it is the dashboard I have open on my second monitor all day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Ease of Use leaves a lot to be desired. The interface can be sluggish and navigating the complex settings menus is often confusing for new team members. Similarly, the Ease of Implementation for custom workflows is low; you really need a dedicated admin to set up schemes correctly, or you risk breaking the project configuration. Regarding Customer Support, I often find myself relying on community forums rather than official channels because ticket response times can be slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves the problem of project visibility across distributed engineering teams. Before this, requirements were lost in docs or chats.

The benefit is full traceability. By utilizing the deep integrations, we can link a specific line of code in a Pull Request directly to a Jira ticket. This ensures that every deployment is tracked and nothing slips through the cracks

Powerful Tool for Agile, Yet Complex for New Users

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Jira for managing my task cards and bugs, as well as sprint planning. It's a powerful and reliable tool for our software development projects, especially in managing agile and scrum teams. I find it very helpful for tracking tasks, bugs, and releases, keeping everything aligned with our work. It maintains an efficient status format, with stages like in progress, ready to build, resolved, and closed, which helps us manage tasks effectively. The customizable workflow lets us create and manage issues easily. I appreciate Jira for being highly customer-driven and powerful in reporting and managing workflows, and it scales well for large teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira can feel very complex, especially for new users who might find it hectic at first due to its many features. The initial setup process is also lengthy, making it seem too large for smaller projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira for managing task cards, bugs, sprint planning, and new features. It helps manage agile teams, track tasks and bugs, and maintain work alignment. Jira's customizable workflow efficiently manages tasks and tracks progress across different stages.

Powerful and versatile, but with a steep learning curve

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Jira is that it is very easy to use, but it can also become very complex. And there are various visualization options for the project status, which I find particularly helpful to quickly get an overview of projects. A picture speaks more than 1000 words.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is actually very difficult for a newcomer to get into the software. And it requires a long familiarization period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves the problem for us of getting a quick overview of our projects and being able to master them successfully.

Powerful Project Management with Some Usability Hurdles

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Jira's flexibility and ability to adapt to different workflows and project needs. It allows my team to customize issue types, workflows, and boards, which makes it easy to manage both simple tasks and complex projects. The real-time visibility through dashboards and reports helps track progress and identify bottlenecks early. Jira integrates well with other tools, enhancing collaboration and keeping all project-related information centralized. I also enjoy how Jira supports collaboration and accountability within the team with features like commenting on issues, attaching files, and tracking history. The notifications and activity logs keep everyone updated on changes without constant follow-ups. It performs well at scale, making it reliable for managing multiple projects and teams while maintaining structure and consistency.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Jira could improve is usability, as the interface can feel complex and overwhelming, especially for new users. Setting up workflows, permissions, and custom fields often requires significant configuration and learning time. Performance can also slow down when managing large projects with many issues, which affects productivity. Simplifying navigation and improving ease of use without losing flexibility would make Jira even more effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to manage projects and track work. It organizes tasks and priorities, improves visibility and accountability, and enhances team collaboration with transparent progress tracking and structured workflows.

The AI integration is very slow and doesn’t feel smooth yet. It takes time to respond and isn’t as helpful as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps keep all tasks, bugs, and updates in one place. It makes it easy to track work, stay organized, and know what needs to be done next, which saves time and reduces confusion.

Robust Agile Support, Steep Learning Curve

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Jira to be an exponential project management and issue tracking tool that's really handy for software development teams. I like how it effectively supports agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. The real-time status tracking feature really enhances communication and boosts team responsibility. I think it's great how customizable Jira is, which makes it versatile for different projects. Its outstanding reporting and dashboards help monitor progress in detail. I appreciate the smooth integration with other Atlassian tools and third-party applications. The most favorable aspect for me is its robust task monitoring and transparency. It allows every team member to access the current condition of work in one single place. The Agile boards like Scrum and Kanban make the whole process of sprint planning and execution very clear and orderly. I also like the seamless integration with Confluence for project documentation and knowledge sharing, and how it links directly to Bitbucket for code monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is a downside of Jira that could be considered a major issue, i.e., the issue of the steep learning curve for the new users. Initially, the interface might seem hard to navigate and somewhat disorienting. In most cases, before the users can set up to workflows and permissions, they have to go through an admin support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira centralizes task and bug tracking, solving unclear task ownership and deadline issues. It assigns tasks with clear status, improving responsibility.

Comprehensive Tracking, Needs Simplified Onboarding

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Jira for its end-to-end issue traceability. It helps me understand from the start who raised the ticket, how the problem developed, who was involved in the solution, and the status each time a comment was made. It's great that I can go back and see those comments anytime, which makes tracking really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Jira could be improved by simplifying the features for new users. Things like story points, epics, and sprints might confuse newcomers. It would be better if they were optimized a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira for organizing, tracking, and managing work. It provides end-to-end issue traceability, making it easy to see who raised a ticket, how it evolved, and track comments over time. This solves the problem of work organization and enhances communication.
