Robust Tool for SDLC, Change Management, and Access Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Jira has been instrumental in managing the complete SDLC, change requests, and access control efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup can take a considerable amount of time, and managing customized workflows at scale requires thoughtful planning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira streamlines the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) by centralizing issue tracking, sprint planning, and release management. It helps enforce structured change control processes (CCM) and provides detailed audit logs for access and approval workflows, aiding in compliance and security monitoring. This has significantly reduced manual tracking and improved visibility across teams.

Powerful tool for agile project management with a learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is highly customizable and offers powerful features for managing agile workflows, sprints, and backlogs. The integration with other Atlassian tools like Confluence and Bitbucket creates a seamless project management environment. I appreciate the ability to automate repetitive tasks and set up detailed workflows for different teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Jira is feature-rich, its interface can be overwhelming for new users. The initial setup and configuration require significant time, and without proper training, it can be easy to misuse or underutilize many features. Additionally, performance can lag in large projects with many issues and users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps manage complex development workflows by providing a centralized space to track tasks, bugs, and progress in real time. It improves cross-functional collaboration and ensures accountability within teams by assigning clear ownership and deadlines. It also helps our teams stay aligned through sprints, roadmaps, and backlog grooming, boosting delivery efficiency and product quality.
Managing multiple Agile projects, I rely on Jira for sprint planning, bug tracking, and test case
What do you like best about the product?
As a QA Lead, what I like best about Jira is its seamless integration across the entire software development lifecycle. Jira’s flexibility allows me to customize workflows to align with our sprint-based Agile process. It connects effortlessly with test management tools like Zephyr Scale, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and code repositories like Bitbucket. This centralization helps in real-time tracking of development and QA activities. The powerful filtering (JQL) and dashboard capabilities make sprint planning, bug triaging, and reporting extremely efficient. Overall, Jira improves collaboration between QA, Dev, and Product teams while maintaining complete traceability from user story to test execution to production deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Jira is powerful, its performance can lag when dealing with large-scale projects or dashboards with complex filters. The UI is not always intuitive for new team members, and setting up custom workflows or permission schemes can be time-consuming. For QA-specific use cases, like linking test cases to executions via Zephyr Scale, the navigation often requires too many clicks and feels fragmented. Also, Jira's mobile experience is limited for real-time updates, which impacts collaboration when working remotely or on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps us streamline the entire Agile QA lifecycle — from sprint planning, test case traceability, and defect tracking to real-time collaboration across cross-functional teams. It solves the problem of fragmented communication by centralizing user stories, tasks, bugs, and test execution in one place. With its integration to Zephyr Scale, Jenkins, and Bitbucket, we achieve complete traceability from requirement to release. This improves accountability and speeds up defect resolution. Additionally, Jira dashboards and reports offer clear visibility to stakeholders, helping us make data-driven decisions and prioritize test coverage effectively. The end result is faster release cycles, higher software quality, and better team alignment.
Easy to use and simple
What do you like best about the product?
Jira has been a huge help in keeping my projects organized and on track. It made it easy to break work into tasks, assign them to the right people, and track progress without things slipping through the cracks. The agile boards and sprint planning tools have really improved how we plan and execute our work. It took a little time to get used to, but once we got the hang of it, Jira became a core part of how we manage our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many features and settings that it took some time to figure out what we actually needed. The interface isn’t always the most intuitive, especially for new team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves problems like lack of visibility, poor task tracking, and scattered communication. It helps by centralizing project info, making it easier to track progress, coordinate with the team, and stay on top of deadlines—ultimately making project management more efficient and less stressful.

When tagging a team member, there is often a glitch or a lag where it pulls up another team members name or stops tagging the person altogether.
