The answer for our SAAS management needs
What do you like best about the product?
Productiv has proven to be a powerful tool in our search for a SAAS management platform. Prior to Productiv, we were primarily working off of a spreadsheet to track managed applications, application owners, access and security information, and company contacts. Through Productiv, we've been able to replace all of this spreadsheet and more while at the same time, getting a more complete picture of all the applications in our environment as well as important statistics on applications renewals.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are very happy with the available features of Productiv as well as the ease of setting it up and utilizing it from the get-go. Any time we've ran into a potential issue where some fields we would like weren't available or some functionality was missing, Productiv has been very responsive in taking our requests seriously and worked with us to find a solution to these areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are primarily using Productiv for our SAAS management in terms of painting a complete picture as to what applications are available in our environment, who owns those applications, what our spend is in those applications, and when our contracts are stated for renewal. We also use custom attributes to track other internal information for security purposes.
Easy Overview of All Systems
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a fan of how Productiv shows me who's in different systems, what type of access they have, and overall how many users per dept are active. Producitv allows us to get an idea of what apps are used, and set a more uniform list of apps approved by the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish more connectors were available, as they are the most significant key with setting provisioning workflows, etc. While Productiv has a limited range for this, I know there will be more options in the future. Once this is in place, I'm excited to be able to set up monthly workflows that automatically deprovision and downgrade accounts as needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most significant benefit has been financial. We were able to remove some systems in place that had too many users not active and save over $10,000 this year. Also, we are able to see what platforms are being used, which apps are compliant with SOC2 and more.
Very Use Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The interface and level of detail you can see on software usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough direct connectors on standard applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing software spend and managing software licensing.
VP Infra & Ops - Business Technology
What do you like best about the product?
Customer support, UI/UX , integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, Productiv continues to improve and always asking for feedback to improve their product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
License recovery, renewals, utilization reporting.
Deeper insights into SaaS spend, compliance and usage
What do you like best about the product?
Customer Success, Deeper insights from usage data
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be more intuitive. Some features are hidden deeper in some pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SaaS sprawl, Spend management, License fees comparison, Departmental spend
All in one
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful is being able to view the past 12-month spend of our SaaS products and the total contract annual spend.
Security and compliance also helps us to make sure that we are able to utilize SAML / SSO Protocols and softwares being compliant in GDPR, CCPA, and more.
Security and compliance also helps us to make sure that we are able to utilize SAML / SSO Protocols and softwares being compliant in GDPR, CCPA, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much of a dislike, but more of hopefully seeing Productiv connect to major accounting softwares such as CCH - Wolters Kluwer products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our SaaS vendors in a data bank, seeing an overview on who the application owner and vendor contact is.
Another major benefit is being able to have Productiv help you along the way with any needs or concerns that you may have to assist with your current problems.
Productiv tries to understand your vision to the fullest and asks "Did we get there?," and if so, h"ow do we keep the momentum going?"

Productiv
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to see/watch/analyze usage and licensing information on our SaaS platforms and applications
What do you dislike about the product?
not much, I'm impressed with the interface and data we receive from Productiv
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can see when a SaaS application we are paying is not being utilized compared to the number of licenses we purchased. When we renew an application or platform, we are armed with the vital data points for the negotiation
Details and Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpul aspects of Productiv is our representative Lauren that is always there to walk us through questions and empower us to find insights easier. The website is very user friendly and allows us to find pertinent details to make business decisions that ultimately affect our bottom line.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love everything about the product. I have no concerns or suggestions on how to make it better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As of right now we are focusing on deprovision licenses for the software we are spending a lot of money on. This is helping with our savings push for renewals of contracts.

Fantastic SaaS Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Productiv has given my enterprise the ability to track our license utilization for our SaaS tools. It is becoming our central location on SaaS information on usage, contracts, past spend, and upcoming renewals. Not all of our SaaS has user licensing entitlements, but the tool allows us to track our contractual and renewal type information.
Great:
- License utilization - Contracted Entitlements vs Provisioned vs Active
- Recommendation on rightsizing based on usage
- Simple charts on usage over time
- Deprovisioning recommendations based on business rules
- Aggregation of spend in Coupa and contractual commitments
- Uses SSO to measure logins if direct connections are not available yet
- Renewal calendar/reminders
- CSM partners with us on solving our enterprise needs

What do you dislike about the product?
For those SaaS tools that are more consumption-based, such as AWS for computing services, it's limited in helping our enterprise make rightsizing decisions. Not all SaaS tools we use have direct connections to Productiv yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our enterprise is starting to mature our vendor management from a SaaS application perspective. The short terms goals are cost reduction and rightsizing with the usage data available. The centralization of data for usage, contracts, renewals, and spend will help reduce the administrative burden during business reviews and renewals.
One benefit realized is a cost of avoidance of nearly ~$1M in over usage. The data showed how we were overprovisioned and needed to remove users to be back in compliance with our entitlement.
We've started using the usage data on making decisions on rightsizing usage.

Productiv greatly enhanced visibility into our Shadow IT
What do you like best about the product?
Productiv offers a complete system to gain visibility into our Shadow IT from various data sources: SSO, contracts/MSAs, spending software. It greatly enhances our ability to take data-driven SaaS decisions, resulting in more savings, fewer data leak risks, and a fully comprehensive employee lifecycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
Edit: The Productiv team followed up about this issue, and we discovered it was a fine tune needed from our end, not theirs! So I'm changing the rate to 5/5!
Productiv still misses discovering some Saas, which means at times manually checking spreadsheets and spend statements to find unknown software. Also, any possible automation requires third-party systems (like Okta).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We got 95% rid of spreadsheets for employee lifecycle, both from the SaaS Operations and HR sides. We are actively using Productiv for onboarding and off-boarding, as well as negotiating contracts (we love the notifications for auto-renew deadlines). We also started to explore the tags for better organization of our subprocessors, birthright systems and systems in the process of decommissioning, as well as actively using the "Contacts" section to keep a tab of software owners!
