The Quick in Quickbase
What do you like best about the product?
The speed at which you can develop a new tool and the ability to make changes pretty quickly as the business needs change.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some User Interface and builder improvements for native features are lacking or slow to be implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The speed at which a solution can be implemented helps with changing business needs or making adjustments to builder errors that are identified.
Great application for gathering and organizing data with the ability to connect data to dashboards.
What do you like best about the product?
Pipelines are the best part given the available channels to connect to; very knowledgeable staff to help with business needs. More comprehensive than competitor
What do you dislike about the product?
Jinja is difficult to learn and seems like it is needed to build applications. Pipelines can crash sometimes. Make it easier to select QB table fields in pipelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acting as our management information to store and view data while also allowing us to connect data to SQL tables and Tableau dashboards. Created efficiencies through automation.
Long time Quickbase user and I love the platform
What do you like best about the product?
Quickbase is such a powerful tool. We use it to track tasks, sales opportunities, client billing, and so much more. The platform is very user-friendly and it's easy to get an app up and running. It's such a great low-code tool for all businesses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quickbase is phasing out their "Automations" feature which has been crucial for our business. They are now switching to "Pipelines," which offers the same functionality but is more technical and harder for a person with limited coding / technical experience to use. I wish Quickbase kept their easy-to-use interface of "Automations."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickbase allows our business to keep all our records in one database. Instead of using a separate CRM tool, a task management tool, a billing platform, etc., we're able to do all that in Quickbase and customize it to fit our needs. We love how flexible Quickbase is, so it can truly meet all your needs.
Great platform for scheduling time off
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of uses and the display of application
What do you dislike about the product?
Not able to view full calendar mode for time off requests
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time off requests
Quickbase has efficiencies GALORE!
What do you like best about the product?
Quickbase has been instrumental in creating efficiencies for our contract. We have been able to move our data collections out of Excel spreadsheets and into Quickbase. This has helped immensely in keeping all our data in one place for easy analysis instead of in several spreadsheets across multiple personnel. We have also created links into Sharepoint for document storage to keep us well within our data caps of Quickbase. We have been able to move resource requests, business management functions, process tracking, project management and administrative workflows solely into Quickbase, and, when needed, can pull data in from other applications so as not to duplicate data entry.
I am not a developer by trade; I don't know any coding language but have been able to easily use Quickbase to set up forms, pipelines and reports. The no-code development part of Quickbase is a GAME CHANGER! I love not having to wait three weeks for a help desk to evaluate my request to change something on a form and being able to change it myself with a click or two of my mouse.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've been using Quickbase for 8 months now, and I can't think of anything I truly dislike. There are certain things I would add to it, especially in pipelines and automation, but it is super user friendly to develop, and the Quickbase community has been extremely helpful for any out-of-the-box questions I may have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using Quickbase to keep all of our information in one easy-to-access location and to do data analysis and workflows. We started using Quickbase for our resource request process, which included requests from our teams for materials, labor or corporate services. The request then followed an internal approval process as well as a customer approval process. The requestor can add substantiating documentation, such as vendor quotes or receipts, to the request that get attached directly to the form and automatically moved to Sharepoint for storage. We could even build in places for engineering site surveys to automatically send to the engineering team for review. Lastly, we were able to tie the request into our business management application, so Quickbase could accurately pull in costs from purchase orders or expense reports, and we could then correctly invoice our customer based on what was actually spent. These requests used to happen in Sharepoint and via e-mail, but now they are in one location, along with all the supporting data.
It's a great platform for creating custom programs without having to be an IT expert.
What do you like best about the product?
I can create exactly what I want, on my own, and I'm not an IT expert or programmer. It's fairly straightforward how to build fields, tables, etc. I can create reports easily and move things around to get a nice looking layout. I can add defaults and required fields to help my users get information entered appropriately and efficiently. If they need something or want something a little different, then I'm usually able to make changes on the fly to help improve their user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their new Pipelines system for automations is very capable, but does require a bit more IT knowedge to figure out. I also would like a better way to be able to integrate email into the system and to have more functionality in integrating to some third party platforms like MailChimp and Google Docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used QuickBase as a CRM for our sales, customer service and tech support. It helps our sales team keep track of prospects with a quote system; it helps our tech support keep track of equipment sent in for repair or tech support calls. Our marketing uses it to keep track of events, tasks to be completed and costs. It's of great benefit to us as a small business to customize the platform to our particular sales cycle needs, etc., without requiring IT consultants to do it.

What do you dislike about the product?
UI is a bit dated. You do need to put in the work to build something valuable for the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize Quickbase as our MIS. Our backoffice has become a lot more efficient and productive.
Quickbase is the go-to low-code environment!
What do you like best about the product?
Quickbase allows me to create scalable applications without having to spend hours coding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I've encountered is some incompatibility with UTF-8 encoding / XML parsing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickbase allowed my company to update processes in our HR, Payroll, and Tech departments.
A great, general purpose database
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Quickbase for nearly twenty years to help me run my businesses. It is flexible, functional, and easy to use. Highly recommended.
What do you dislike about the product?
The original Quickbase user interface was outstanding. Over the years, new UX teams have made the UI gradually more cumbersome, but still usable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for content management, customer resource management, order history tracking, and numerous other purposes. It's my default "go to " DBMS app.
